The initial incident was a dumb accident and nothing really to be mad about. The problem is she handled it badly.

The way to respond to this was to release a single statement that "I have never been in a relationship with this person," (regardless of whether it was true or not) and then button up and go on a vacation for 2-4 weeks to give the antis time to cool off, while posting absolutely nothing on the internet and staying away from the internet as much as possible.

Instead she's been posting on her roommate account, she's dropped hints that the relationship with Mafumafu might be real, she apparently suicide-baited, and now she's dropping big hints that she's going to graduate with her "I'm moving at the end of the month" tweets. Nothing has really been explained to her fans at all.

Most of this disaster is absolutely her fault. This is a textbook case in what a vTuber should not do in a PR crisis. She had an incredibly lucrative career that's being tossed out the window for pretty much no reason at all, and it will likely harm Hololive since she was one of their biggest earners. That's why people are blaming her and calling her a menhera.
