Nah, Cover isn't going to luck out into this, and neither is Niji having "a solid hold on the English speaking male VTuber market" either. NijiEN males (so far) are speaking English, alright, but their audiences are heavily dominated by TW / HK, follows by JP and SEA, aka Asian. Anyone - both Niji and Cover - trying to crack the actual EN male VTuber market (by that, I meant NA end EU) will still face a lot of issues. There is a clear reason why Vox and Mysta don't start streaming during EN hours outside of collabs (and no, don't tell me "Mysta is British", because he doesn't start at EU hours either) and Shu, who does, has much lower numbers than the others. Luca tried EN hours streams here and there too, props to him, but outside of weekend, his numbers aren't that much better than Shu either (still higher than his female counterparts, admittedly) and are just lower than his Asian streams in general.
All in all, the EN Male VTuber scene is still largely unexplored. I'll be happy if Nijisanji (or Cover, or any corps) can prove me wrong, though.

This is mainly because female streamers tend to go the full e-girl route where they just spend most of the stream teasing their horny teen audience while female vtubers genuinely want to be taken seriously as streamers even if most of them aren't very good at it but some look cute trying. Being able to hide their face gives them power to reveal their turbo nerd personality without being judged by other girls for it.
Regular male streamers on the other hand have a much more massive pool of talent in either entertaining their audience by either comedy or extensive game knowledge. For male vtubers on the other hand most of them are primarily Discordfags that haven't played many games and are typically zoomers that are a dice roll of funny and unfunny. Plus the whole bishounen/fujo pandering thing makes it even less appealing for a male to watch a male vtuber over a male streamer.
