Aristocracy, society is divided into labor lower class and intellectual/clergy upper class. Leaders are elected from high ranking members of the state church by the nobility.
/meat/ society's obsession with human bodies unironically made us have the best healthcare in the world. Plenty of guinea pigs and spare organs.
>Natural wonder
A large coral reef off our coast, as huge as the Great Barrier Reef. Possibly magical and intelligent. Kept our coasts safe.

The blood river.
Our main cathedral lies at the mountain, where the spring of our main river began. Human sacrifices were left to have their blood drained over the river spring. Unfortunately, due to how blood works no amount of blood dumped into the river will cause it to turn red. It mostly got diluted by the waterfalls and absorbed into the riverbed. Leaving behind green-orange stains on the riverbanks from all the dissolved iron.
But all is not for naught. Blood has a lot of nutrients and because of all the dumping, our fishes, wild games, and riverbank farms are fertile and fat.

See pic related. We found out that the worship of Akira and several other ryona chuubas existed since the ancient age of /jp/ but was shunned and stamped out. Becoming a boogeyman of sorts. We somehow revived this cult by accident and it's much more organized than its ancient counterpart.

With our Aztec inspiration, we're also the largest exporter of cacao. Cacao that were fertilized with human remains.

A lore compatibility issue and wrench in the existing mapfags' work like that should at best be a courtesy extended for keeping the general afloat and active. Since air travel doesn't exist then /nasa/ won't use air travel. The station lifting off back into space doesn't count because its too big to maneuver outside of orbit. /nasa/ will have some tech for farming. But its only to get started. As for any crops besides wheat /nasa/ will have to trade. /rrat/ monks are pretty good friends. Maybe we have some trade partners in /infinity/ but its a shakey relationship. /nasa/ stepped away from /infinity/'s "civil war". /who/ and /uuu/ could be potential trade partners but they've forgotten /nasa/ exists. So where else can /nasa/ trade?

The closest thing to an island in the continent where /pyon/ is would be the territory of /yah/, since, without the strip of land joining it to the continent, it would basically be some kind of big Sri Lanka-like island country.
Why not change the territory of /yah/ and /pyon/, and then simply create lore about Kiki ordering the building or a wall of isolation in the strip of land or a man-made canal that when filled with ocean water would separate the island and the continent at least by some kilometres.

I'm still trying to figure out the limits of /nasa/ so we don't get too OP. We just had a "crash" that fucked our infrastructure. We have the blueprints needed to rebuild it but we currently lack the resources and manpower to do so. We still have some tools left that make modern living comfortable like tablet computers.
