I think I can see why they chose this game for a new collab, since the requirement for them both to work together and read a bunch of shit aloud cuts down on dead air. But it's also not really allowing them to have many interesting conversations since they're having to focus on the puzzle. I think something more adventure-y or with more story elements probably would have been more interesting to watch and give them better material to react to together.

I watched nyanners before vshojo, and snuffy haruka and others were nobodies that orbited around in her discord. Nyanners herself was sub 400 views or so, but on a process of incline before joining melody/mouse/silvervale/zen. veibae was literally who?. Froot had not started vtubing yet. girl_dm was not a literally who orbiter, but she was still very small for modern terms.
This was around HoloEN1 debut, back then vtubing wasnt as saturated as now. Most of these grew by riding on their connections, sharing viewers, and the rush of the early EN twitch vtubing waves.

I agree with a vtuber having to incline based on their quality, but connections are also very important.
