i think our religion should celebrate the full life and death cycle (birth, suffering, death, rebirth) with a special emphasis on the life-giving quality of death (technically part of the rebirth stage) in the form of meat. partaking in any part of that process should be seen as a gateway to enlightenment. the meat of sentient creatures that can engage the most in these processes would be prioritized above any other, and so there would be no meat more valued than human. this is just a suggestion, and any feedback is welcomed

Maybe not every sect worships reincarnation, here are some ideas I have for the core of /meat/'s faith
>Deicide
The core tenet of /meat/ is to torture and consume the chuuba gods. A vtuber that retires is canonically turned into food in our books. Coco, Lulu, etc.
>Indies Syncretism
We have a soft spot for indies. Our chuubas are all indies and it's the corpo non-indies that is overpopulating the heavenly realm.
>Vtuber Bubble
/meat/'s religion also revolves around culling the populace of the heavenly realm. There are way too many chuubas nowadays, and they're all waiting to be eaten. Just as the Aztecs believe sacrifices will prevent the apocalypse, we believe that corpo chuubas must be culled, lest the medium crashes and burn.
>Esotericism
The worship of the /meat/ chuubas existed since the ancient days of /jp/ but back then our ancestors were all shunned for doing it. They were considered carriers of forbidden knowledge, for knowing about the existence of vtubers the normal eyes shouldnt know of. The indies at the bottom of the iceberg. Now that we are unbound by the chains of our forefathers, our duty is to spread the existence of these niche-obscure chuubas so those with the same inclination as us find their way home.

here's an interesting part about the whole "rebirth" concept. it doesn't necessarily mean the same thing is born again. my thought of rebirth, while including the reoccurance of patters that existed before (namely in how /meat/ threads die so frequently, or how our lore seems to be that we existed back in /jp/land and have now returned to /vt/land even stronger) it also includes the processes of death that spawn new life (from the predators, to the bacteria, to the plants and so on, as the body gets used well past the death of the one who first owned it) this encompasses all our uses of human material, especially meat. having a soft spot for indies makes sense. corpos will never appreciate our art, and every indie is potentially a new addition to our list of chuubas, but as the reapers of /vt/, all will eventually fall to our grasp in due time. the celebration of death means we find the kind of immortality that gods would go through to be somewhat disgusting. our chuubas go through the death process multiple times, their immortality is through rebirth and the regeneration of flesh, but the others are in a sort of stasis that leads to stagnation. tell me if there is anything worth changing here, or if you like what i am suggesting.

I don't have too much right now. I was thinking about the debate we were having a few days ago about the usage of human parts.
It's hard figuring out where the healthy balance is for a lot of things. Some of us aren't fans of making everything around visceral decoration, but others are.
I've come to a half baked solution on it, I believe. We currently seem to exist in a society built on two main groups. The brutish, lower class barbarians and the more refined, upper class cultists. From what I can deduce, the barbarians would be, well, exactly that. Naturally violent, using human body parts in crude tools and visceral decoration. Bone totems roped together to strike fear, fallen enemies hanging with their bodies sliced open. Cultists would be more prim and proper, perhaps still using parts but refining them into beautiful pieces. A scale lovingly sculpted using bones, a tapestry expertly drawn on human leather with blood as the ink.
Something like that, I'd assume.

ya, i think that was assumed from the beginning. my suggestion on it was that the lowerclass be mcgyver types, highly resourceful and crafty, and able to jury rig whatever tool or repair anything from human bodies rather quickly. they still use other material for practicality, but they can live off of their opponents completely without the slightest need of any resupplies. with that being said, in the previous thread, someone suggested city-states, with only one of them being "brutish" (sparta-inspired i guess). lets see what we agree to, i guess.

>> No.18571384

I'm not sure if I'm following this properly. Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but this feels conflicting. The term "vassal" is normally reserved for when a lesser nation is brought to subservience by another nation, no? If the old post is saying what I think it is, the anon was saying that the sectors should be divide up as different uses. Such as a merchant sector and a military sector. It simply doesn't make much sense to me to divide up the land into different domains.
Is this meant to be more like a horde of clans brought in together to serve one main group, the aristocrats? Because that's what I'm getting from what you're saying. Again, I may be horribly off so do correct me if so.

in japan, tokio is considered the business capital, where as akihabara is a place with more freedom of expression. kyoto is very traditional, and i remember hearing about once place with a strong overclocking/technology community. they don't need to be different nations (though considering the sengoku period and what not...) they just end up focusing on some things more than others. having a place that focuses on military, and another that focuses on religion/government makes sense as a natural evolution of things, only difference being that in this case, the government is enforcing it with the community.

yes. it could be written in runes if you like. the kronii poster who wrote the most recent greentext basically described a temple with a surprisingly friendly community that slowly made them join the cult. it kind of reminded me of that place. it might be a bit too on the nose, though.

Truth be told, it's iffy. I like the relation, but it's both a bit vague and a bit obvious. Andale isn't that on the nose, but it's still blunt. Everyone already knows we're a cult, that is worn on our sleeve. The twist of Andale is that they're friendly people who are actually cannibals. The twist of /meat/ is that we're cannibals who are actually friendly people.
Not to mention, I find "Andale" as a name a bit... Boring? I feel we could do with something fancier, more regal to fit that upper class.
That is my two cents though, I'm sure others have their own opinions as well.

I think basing the names off of Norse words would be ideal. I know we're not all about vikings and such, but I like the names for that mixture of barbarian-like aesthetic and gorgeous Valhalla beauty. For example, Golden Capital in (A rough working of) Old Norse would be something like "Gull Höfuðstaðr" or "ᚷᚢᛚᛚ ᚺᛁᛟᚠᚢᚦᛊᛏᚨᚦᚱ" in Elder Furthark.
Golden Capital obviously doesn't have to be the name we use, I simply took that as an example.

It is all old /jp/ textboard culture holdover stuff. I forget sometimes that this place is only partly /jp/ 2.0, especially when the two run up against each other.

"expire today" isn't always what it seems. even if it's "best if used by:" instead of "best if sold by:" they often have a grace period. granted, just the thought of eating something bad can sometimes cause the body to preemptively become nauseated, potentially resulting in regurgitation.
