For the sake of transparency around the current divegrass progress, I'd like to post about where we're currently at in terms of preparation for aesthetics for the team, and to reach out to the thread to see if there is anybody with a particularity interest in helping. I will also be reaching out for external assistance over the next couple of days since realistically, we might not be able to do all of this on our own.

I find a strange compulsion to it. It's meant to be strange, foreboding, and foreign to people who listen to it, at least I think that was the composers intention. I decided today I'm going to hire an art tutor to help level up my drawing. I felt like lately I've just been hitting a creative wall and haven't been doing much Kiki art. The thing with artists is they're willing to work for hella cheap so it's just a matter of finding somebody reasonably talented to give me some lessons.

While going through the dicksword logs of yah I found some people mentioning why they stopped watching Kiki. I don't think they had reason to lie about it in that environment, but it is also a unique lens which I will talk about later. There were people that mentioned the rrats but they were mostly the clueless people, like "who is Kiki, is she the one that X, is Y true about her?"

The main recurring theme was "GFE". Undoubtedly some of them were the guys we had here in the threads arguing against it sometime ago. Almost everyone cited this as the reason and nobody mentioned transphobia or bullshit like that. They call it cringe, some say Kiki doesn't appeal to them in that way at all that they prefer milfs or whatever, etc.

What I think is a relevant component is this is another vtuber's server, and we can safely assume that Kiki wasn't their oshi in the first place. What I personally think is happening is Kiki's "GFE" filters people that want to enjoy multiple chuubas or already have an oshi. The few dads that did defect to pyon have more or less abandoned their previous oshi, so what seems to be very rare or impossible is to watch Kiki without her being your oshi. They can't handle the cognitive dissonance and reject Kiki as cringe as a defensive mechanism from cheating on their oshi or something, and end up avoiding Kiki entirely.

Setting aside for a moment the discussion of whether this is good or bad filtering, I'd like to continue further about "GFE" in general. As the recent yab has shown there is a pretty large majority comprised of two enemy factions: anti-gfe normalfags and anti-gfe redpillers, with us appreciating it definitely being a minority stuck in the middle. The normalfags are just useful idiots and though I don't really want them here they can easily be converted. They will aproach a vtuber as just entertainment and they will fall in love by accident. The ones that seem much harder to reach are the red/blackpillers who consciously choose to avoid falling in love and will immediately distance themselves if they see it coming. It's not impossible though because I was one of them, but I decided that enough was enough and consciously allowed myself to fall in love with Kiki and give her a chance. Sadly conversion goes both ways and these factions are actively trying to shit on gfe and create rrats or just put constant pressure on us and I do fear that these tactics work. When you're truly in love feeling cucked or just jealous can be intensely painful. So, numbers pulled out of my ass of course, GFE filters ~90% of redpillers and ~50% of bluepillers, but then the remaining pro-GFE gets filtered by rrats and pressure by some extent I can't really guess, the aftermath of this big yab will give us some data on it.

With that said, I am biased and don't want Kiki to stop "GFE" and knowing her she not only doesn't want to either she can't. It wouldn't be wise either to first alienate one crowd and then alienate again those that remained. The question isn't whether to GFE or not, but to understand what is going on and temper our expectations accordingly. We are a minority, this is not the broad market approach. What this is, is the deep approach. It creates extremely dedicated fans that will per-capita do much more for their oshi, whether that is stream attendance, OC creation or donations. I don't think it is the optimal approach, some vtubers can straddle the line of broad market appeal while still appealing to and respecting people that fall in love with them, but it definitely does have it's own benefits. As long as Kiki focuses more on the quality of her fanbase rather than the quantity she should feel quite proud of herself, and she shouldn't worry about the quantity too much either because there definitely is a market for this too. It just so happens that this market share is at extreme odds with some others and it will be hard to overlap successfully. She will never be the universally accepted /here/ chuuba doing GFE and it's up to her to resolve that within herself somehow.

Some people, most people even, just aren't looking for love. They either have it, hate it or fear it.

I think you could have phrased this better; based on what she's said the past few days, she doesn't want to be "the universally accepted /here/ chuba" but rather wants to be "a widely respected /here/ chuba"

Aside from that, I think this is a good analysis, and I think your conclusion (quoted above) is very valuable. I'm really disappointed to see people posting reddit-tier "didnt read roflmao" faggotry when this issue has clearly been weighing on kiki HEAVILY and i think good-faith analysis and advice should be welcomed. But yeah anyway, it all sounds plausible to me, and at the very least i ABSOLUTELY agree kiki has SOMETHING to sort out within herself. She is her own worst enemy lately and she needs to figure out what she wants, what she has, and why.

The only thing I would add is, I think her current arc is incredibly tough to bear even for her small number of dedicated champyons/husbands. It is very, very, very, very difficult watching her right now IMO. I have lost count how many times in the past 10 days she has gotten blatantly angry at her viewers, plus all the times she has been severely upset or unhappy while streaming. I consider her my wife, and I have found myself intentionally being a vod bro and avoiding the thread completely, and just generally disengaging, because it seems there's nothing I or anyone can do to make her happy lately, and worse yet, she keeps getting actively UNHAPPY during streams. I feel stressed, helpless, sad, and paralyzed, because the love is gone, as is my inspiration, and I can't think of anything to say or do to make her feel better. I feel better off being silent lately.

So yeah, she's getting worn down for the reasons you explained, and in turn, her becoming unhappy with what she's got is probably taxing even her dedicated fans and husbands. It's a vicious cycle and she needs to stop and reflect and get out of this tailspin.

Yes, it may be a little too pessimistic. I am very pessimistic in general and the bad stuff sometimes stands out to me more. But just as one last example, the valentine day streams as you mentioned: what stood out to me on that day was the rhythm game stream, which she got angry during and ended very suddenly. I will have to disagree with this. I want Kiki to be open with us and that might hurt sometimes but that is necessary and healthy. In turn I did this and I'm trying to be honest with her too. Whenever I see her unhappy I can't just ignore it I've always jumped in head first to try and help any way I can, often to my own detriment.
