In my country's culture the valentine's day has always been traditionally more about celebrating one's friends rather than significant others. We actually call the day "The Friend's Day" instead of "Valentines Day"

So I'd like to use this opportunity to tell everyone of you, yes, even (you), that I really appreciate you being here, posting with me, being a part of this place/community, and/or playing this fun little coin game.

Despite the ups and downs, through threads shitty and dead, through all sorts of shitflinging and drama, days that have been bad and some even worse, this place remains one of the comfiest threads and best communities on /vt/ if not the entire site, and I want to thank (you) and those who are here or have been with us at some point for being part of it.

I'm glad I have had the chance to meet you and hope to wish you a happy friends day!

Mori's oshiboard is exceptionally competitive, and the high value means that the competitors will not only be competing against each other, but against routine invaders as well. Combine that with her routine ups and downs, and it's not a surprise that her volume is absurdly high compared to other coins. I do not think it is a coincindence that the Mori oshiboard has some of the best traders in the game.

Now, is that healthy for the game? That's a more complicated question. High volume brings with it low volatility, but also it brings low volatility. Single players can't blow a coin the fuck up anymore. They have to coordinate and cooperate to move the market. Enter the clan kids. There are still single-player powerhouses like Cypher that have sheer mountains of resources they can work with, but the Miyamoto Zaibatsu is mainly strong in that they offer coordination and information. I've said from the start that information is extremely important, and the use of said information and, more importantly, the communication and coordination in regards to the application of that info is absolutely key to the Mizutsune Zaibatsu's long-term success. Players have been distracting themselves with how they can share dividends and launder money, but any idiot can do that.

Speaking of, I've gotten distracted. What were we talking about? Right, the Jobber of Japan's serious volume. I personally think that as long as volatility is balanced with volume, it's fine. This isn't a zero-sum game, so volume inflation is inevitable as long as we have no pressing need to sell for any reason other than "the coin went green". If honk introduces a mechanic that outright eats coins for no profit, it would have to be a mandatory one, like taxes, or nobody will use it. "Ain't sellin'" isn't as strong as it once was, but the playerbase is very much willing to buy rather than sell, and pretty much only sells when there's profit to be made. Thus, to cut down on volume while also cutting off the player's ability to just use the volume reduction to snap back and buy more (but worse), you'd need to basically cut the liquid out. I don't know how well that would go over, but I can confidently say "not likely well".

tl;dr: We might be fucked, but it's a bit early to tell, and we're definitely less fucked than we used to be!

No prob. If that's all you're after, you don't even have to go as far as not moving away from "Market". As long as that NASFAQ tab is never closed, it will "remember" - even if you bounce to Activity or Floor and then back.

Over the last 14 days MIKO$ has always closed on a ROI% over 6% (closed meaning the price before adjustment), with the average closing ROI% being 7.78%, furthermore, MIKO$ has opened to an average ROI% of 8.72%, if you remove the highest and lowest number that changes to an 8.66%, meaning that the data used does not change around due outliers.

Since you are the bubbles guy, I'm sure you don't need me to explain why the ROI% numbers above are very, VERY, good, right? And that they are way above the rest of the market too!

MIKO$ has had an average price of $20,476.15 over the past 2 weeks ($20,289.17 without highest and lowest), which puts her opening price below average 9/14 times in that time frame.

This puts MIKO$ in both a good spot for day-trading her (like yesterday) and if you don't plan to sell her she makes an amazing addition to anyone playing the dividends game, not to mention that you have retard insurance from:
>(You) who buys MIKO$ like retard.
>Anyone that will start buying her more after this post.
>Any of the other smart anons that already knew this (good job!).

I get that your thing is to FUD people into not buying mikochi, but I can't simply see such retarded comments and not say anything, and to put it simply, if you haven't been buying MIKO$ most of the time you are simply making a bad play (and data does nothing but get even better for her if you make the timeframe bigger).

I have places to be, so I can't do a whole market review at the moment, but I would confidently put MIKO$ as one of the top 10 coins in the market right now if not in the top 5!

Feel free to drop by the F.U.C.K. archive and corroborate all this data with BBB's amazing work, but to save you time, you'll find that I'm right!

Those 3.6k dividends are a result of Q. You would know this if you had paid attention to cutoff points, nothing in the market is 'random'.
>>18417604
Skill issue :}
>>18430931
I have detailed ledgers of my personal performance. In the past week, I have invested over 63m into Mori, making a 3m on-paper profit, buying around ~2500 shares over the week. This leaves 87m in trading (not dividends!) from non-Mori coins that (You) could have gotten but didn't.
>>18420002
Any kind of dividends strategy results from the fact that you can only move a finite amounts of coin within a certain period of time. Since after you get past a certain wealth point you cannot freely restructure your wallet, this gives rise to 'stacks' and 'dividend strategies'. The only way to 'kill' dividend strategy organically is to remove the trading cooldown restrictions and thus change the game entirely to favor those good at trading... which, I mean, if you want to do, it'll favor me? It'll likely kill the game, though, since not being here precisely by adjustments means death, and people in Aussie timezone will quit.
>>18431073
Even the Mitsubishi Zaibatsu doesn't have enough pull to realistically affect coin prices in a significant way, much less for it to be profitable. Mori is a high-volume coin that a lot of people trade. Believe it or not, but 3 people 10x'ing her only accounts for 1/2rd of her movement even when she's overpriced like this. If she were to dip, those 10x's would be a drop in the pond.

Me and the rest of the Mishima Zaibatsu primarily play a very dividends-oriented long-term strategy. My trading profits are a byproduct of aggressive sweeping of capital between positions, but just taking a look at my wallet will show you the stacks I'm considering to be worth holding for the long term. Mikochi is my 5th biggest stack, and I'd consider her to be a coin that performs well consistently, with good returns.

The amount of on-topic posting in the global chat is astounding, these posts could be made in the thread. The thread has become a shell, since there is now a needless split-off. The aggie was a weekend thing to blow off steam and draw/talk, not a permanent chat. It served a useful purpose. The global chat is like a surrogate, more discord-like thread. It is crappier, but it's easier to use. Since people are split between talking in the two, neither of them will be good as the one, single, collective thread that we had pre-global chat. Can't be bothered to argue much anymore because I'm losing interest in the game by the second, but these are just my thoughts. It is the wrong way to go.
Also,

I'm removing the global chat feature as of today because this guy >>18452561 doesn't like it. (More ways for the players to interact is a step in the wrong direction, and I totally agree). Sorry about that!

F.U.C.K. would have to independently incorporate the bubbles, or you'd have to manually copy the data in yourself.
It's why it took me so long to realize all it would take to "fix" the colors on the pie charts was a pivot table. Easy enough to harvest data from your own Sheet - much harder to automate pulling it in from another. Don't forget that part of the reason the old wallet analyzer was stealth bogging the server was the mechanism for tracking divs/price over time. It had to constantly poll the server. I was too dumb to try and adapt that "logic" for storing weekly dividend history.

I just thought of a way that this could work without bogging the server, but it would be 100% reliant on (You) only clicking the big teal button exactly once a week, Saturday at 00:01 ET or thereabouts. Basically making three new pages on the wallet analyzer, and a few lines of code in the big teal button to copy sheet 3's data to sheet 4, 2 -> 3, 1 -> 2, and then update sheet 1. I'd be able to pre-populate the new sheets with the prior 3 weeks of data at first because I save my own copies.
With an extra sheet (and a pivot table) that make the necessary calculations. It might be more work than it's worth - or than I am prepared to do.

Lucky for you, your points are really on point. The global chat is just going to be a big detriment to the thread and will likely be the death of it. The thread has been kinda stacking up a big list of problems with it and this will likely be the final straw. Either the thread dies or it's just going to become some breed of shitposting den.

chat requires you to be there for a longer while to not lose context, it doesn't have 4chanX and no soundposts, too hectic for me to constantly be in for instance. I expect other anons to be the same. So you'll find me here.

I will never lie or mislead or give falsehood. I play with the exact same information I provide to everyone else. That doesn't mean I'm not capable of trickery, it just means that if you're tricked by me then you weren't paying attention.
Truth is the strongest FUD.

>>18453445
>The bubbles would benefit from better data, no?
Yeah, that's why I'm working on a trade assistant. But that is at the bottom of a long list of priorities. The information exists and it's not hard to get your hands on.
Also, I do not want to be the sole arbiter of information. People should feel encouraged to go behind and check information, they should be free to have doubts, and free to use the information I collect for their own purposes. Having multiple smart people talking is significantly more important to me, as it promotes engagement with the game and the community, and improves thread quality. I have intentionally avoided making visual graphics and easy-digest charts because I want others to have the opportunity to make those themselves and start a conversation on it. I already have conversation starters, and I can't always be in the threads. It's more important that multiple voices have interesting stuff they can bring forward, rather than everyone going "well let's just wait for chartman to post a graph".

It is 100% possible and very easy to do!
But do I really have to spoofeed you? You made the bubbles... You really shouldn't have a problem at all with this.
>>18453248
Ah, so it wasn't you.
You are supposed to use BBB's archive as that, an archive, you can obviously follow the MOVE sheet for a bit of financial advice but if you want to get 100% of it you'll need to use his info for yourself!
How was it? "Standing in the shoulders of giants"? You can't just stay complacent with that! It's like those Anons that copy Triangle's or Applause's or Clock's trades, if you just copy them you'll forever be a shadow to the 1st or 2nd trader!! What you need to do is learn from then and build on them.
>>18453445
Bingo! Right on the mark Tampa! That's the spoonfeeding, the wallet analyzer already does everything for you! It already pulls the dividends and the current market information, you just need to store it. Don't use last divs, store them for a few weeks (or get them from BBB) and do some funny little averages, same goes for prices, if you are awake at adjustment, what's stopping you from updating it and using the current market information to build averages (or, once again, get them from BBB if you are lazy), you can build your very own MOVE sheet! One that you can update at will too!
>What do you think would be best? 4 week rolling average for dividend % based on market pricing @ Sat 00:00? 4 week rolling average of raw dividend $ amt used to calculate a % vs. latest market price @ divs?
Just as I did in >>18436281 you are going to want a way to remove outlier data points, otherwise you are going to end up like Pagibot buying Towa all day! I don't really follow why you are so fixated in using market price at divs when you can update to current market price by just hitting the sheet, you get your "new divs" from whatever math magic you use on them, then you use them on the current market price and get your ROI% and better bubbles from that!
If you want to avoid bogging the server the best you coud do is separate the /api/ calls, you don't need to get your wallet or dividends every time you call the sheet for evaluating the market, although this would turn the wallet analyzer into a market analyzer, any more than this and I'll be spoonfeeding too much, I can't have all of you relying on me all the time, that's BBB's job hehe.

It's not possible to be the change you want to see. This is an ignorant statement that doesn't understand how threads work. It only takes one person to kill a thread with hundreds of active posters but one or a dozen posters can't save or help fix a thread. The thread quality has been decreasing with time for a long time and nothing anyone has tried has fixed that and there is nothing anyone can do. Global chat is just yet another thing in the pile that contributes to the decreasing quality albeit a pretty big one.

Stop doom posting and wait for a while to actually see how the global chat changes things. If you want to be logical and smart about this, you should wait for a while to see how things actually change over the course of multiple days and threads. They're not. Each has a separate purpose. All effortposts and actual game discussion happens in the thread. It's pretty clear. Again, schizo delusions and projection.
>Can't be bothered to argue much anymore
Because none of your "arguments" hold up at all.
You are the problem, kindly leave if this is how you respond to conflicts

Well, what can I say. I've been in there multiple times to know which discussions aren't fine for them and which are fine for them.
This episode is the norm, it's been repeating every time someone does make a complaint that would harm or mention off-topic, discord, aggie, and this time, the new global chat which is the same as aggie.

One thing I would say is, it's impossible to get sense from them once you have pointed out something that would somehow involve or harm their group, you are almost guaranteed to get a mockery, or just be plain ignored.

It doesn't even matter if the thing you are pointing out that somehow involves them is reasonable or just pure schizoposting, you would get the same treatment whichever you do. I can guarantee it with experience.

The thread is no different from how it was a a week or so ago, arguably its slightly better. Just because on-topic discussion is happening in the global chat, it doesn't mean that less on-topic discussion is happening in the thread. All the higher effort on-topic posts will still be made here in the thread, the global chat is good only for short low-effort posts and conversation which would risk getting ignored here anyways.
Besides, the global chat doesnt store its messages as permanently as the thread does, so there is no point in making any actually effortful posts there. The global chat also is not anonymous, which is one of the biggest advantages of the thread.
We already have the floor, and it did not kill the thread, despite some on-topic posting happening in there. Global chat may just be a more casual floor.

That sounds like...work. I'll stick with grugmode and being consistently in the top traders without the extra effort.
The wallet analyzer - at least as far as I thought - was just a really easy way to track my own wallet, MPP, dividends, and % related stuff. I'm not sure what the OG Haaton's intentions were, but uh, I'm going to make like WB Games and do nothing with old IP. A "Bubble Sheet" as it were wouldn't require API calls, wallet analysis, or any of that other stuff, it'd be entirely separate and could just be something that was manually populated with data.

I wouldn't be lying if I said that I believe doomposting about the death of a general actually kills generals. And an actual Discord to bicker over - see /yah/. There's been no tangible change in the state of the thread for months. If anything, it's on an uptick after a few weeks of it falling off the catalog without new bread.

Almost forgot, if somehow a rare case of actually making them care for your post, it all would be futile. Treat it like you are explaining something to rocks.
Even if you do explain your point to them, even in the most simple way, they would amazingly still miss your point and proceed to ask how is your point would prove anything or something alike. Their brains are unyielding and wouldn't try to think of what you're trying to get across to them.

I wish you luck that somehow you could get your point across.

I don't even know how you came to these conclusions.
>It's mainly offtopic
There is constant game discussion. There was an incredible amount of game talk going on last night and during the adjustment that could have easily been made in the thread.
>All effortposts and actual game discussion happen in the thread
Effortposts maybe, but refer to my previous point. Game discussion is frequent there. Therefore, there is a split. People who only follow the thread won't be in the know. There will be less game-related discussion here in the thread overall.
>Because none of your "arguments hold up at all"
Read that sentence again. I stand by my points, which I consider to be just. I would post a few paragraphs if I could be bothered (It would just make for a longer post, I made most of the points that are needed), but my heart just isn't strong enough for it anymore.

Sorry if this 'killed' any gameplay discussion, I was just making points that I believe are right. It sounds like backpedalling to say that I can't be bothered to argue anymore, but I'm just really tired. Call me a schizo, but I'm just calling it as I see it. All I want is for NASFAQ to thrive, and if you're going to smear shit all over my posts because I wanted to help then so be it.

>>18456319
>Too many places to talk
>People may stick to one place (not everybody but a few)
>Gameplay discussion gets mixed up because it's made in two places that not everybody visits
>Thread loses fun & anonymous shitposting, some gameplay talk too
>Global chat is pretty crap in terms of functionality and QOL
You might as well just keep the aggie open at all times really, it would be a better substitute at least

You do realize that the few names I do see talking in the chat right now about the game are not and will never be /here/ - right? Look at what they're discussing:
>multibuying ID
>all in on Moona
>I should've bought more Aki
Come on now. I really do want to take your concern seriously, if there's merit, but this is just the usual FOMO "keep the aggie open" mixed in with either ignorance or misinformation.
The people discussing the game are newhags from that Discord...and oldhags having off topic banter. Or would you rather dansaa tell us about his keyboard here?

Furthermore, the Aggie is arguably the worst possible way to communicate from a QOL standpoint. It's a collaborative art platform. The fuck kind of chat client requires 1 GB+ of RAM, forgets messages, and uses hardware video acceleration? That is rhetorical.

Right now, sure. But from the times I've looked in there in the past 48 hours, there's been a lot of on-topic talk from regular members of the community. Just because it isn't happening now, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen often. Keyboard talk? That's fine, but it'd still be better to have it in the aggie I feel. It's just better. As I said, functionality and QOL. Why use the new inferior product when you have something better than you've been using for a long time? It's just like that phone discussion.

>>18457081
You do realize I cannot take you seriously if you advocate for the Aggie as a functional, QOL improvement over a chat client that:
>uses no additional resources
>is built directly into the site I already have open
>doesn't crash because it's out of RAM
>doesn't break links for being too long
>has a seemingly longer message history
To name the very easy, low hanging fruit.

Regarding regulars chatting in there, you can't police what people do? Why bother yourself over it? I've used the chat and it's not like I'm going to leave the thread.

>> No.18457275

There are almost certainly at least two distinct anons here taking the same side. The issue is, this is an anonymous messageboard, so having just one other person agree with you and one disagree with you can feel like 10 people are taking your side and 1 "schizo" argues the opposite.
That being said, the specific anon posting Ina needs to get his head out of his ass and post an actual argument rather than masturbating to his own great wisdom and greatness, unsupported by any evidence.
