Seeing Cover's take on Rushia, they seem to be more lenient than they were a year ago. Looking at Haachama's chart I just realized one thing: it's not that she's being culled (she altough she is) but that's she's running "on the outside lane", completely outside "the box".

This chart shows it well. Both her initial audience and her "talking part at the end of the stream" audience is 100% Haatons.
Then the spike from 2.5k to 5k is the tourists and eventual funnel she picks up along the way.

The thing is: her inconsistency and frequent absences in the past few months had he slip out of most of the tourists minds, and likewise made her fall out of the clippers rotation and consequently from the algo as well, making her streams not be recommended.
Then there is a cull of part of the audience as well, that can't be helped.
But the increased consistency part will do wonders for her and she will likely do like Aki right now and bounce back from a low point.

Well it's actually quite a neutral statement.
'The private life of our talents are their own to manage.' This statement here can pretty much be explained as:
1. The talents are free to do whatever they want with their private activities as long as it doesn't hinder their main job (Vtuber persona). We can see this in a lot of Hololive members with active roommate like Noel, Choco, Mel, Lapras, etc.
2. Any problems that arose from those private activities are solely theirs (the talents) to resolve. Similar to the first point Cover also will not give a shit and take no responsibilities for that. An example for this is probably the recent Matsuri host club drama, she's off to defend herself. You knowingly took the risk, so when it comes to bite you handle it yourself.

Cover probably decided to butt head into this Rushia drama because the discord message popped out while 'Uruha Rushia' was streaming, not miichan. Cover will most likely take actions on harassments of their talent (Uruha Rushia), but whether they will also do so for 'miichan' is anyone's guess. Also Rushia is most likely getting reprimanded in some way.
