1) Haaton are a different brand of fanbase. After being put through the sieve for three years with Haachama force filtering out any type of casual audience, FOTM audience, meme audience the majority of the fanbase sticking with her are loyal, talented and fucked up in the head (in all sorts of right ways).
She ended up fostering a creative audience that likes to participate, mostly because Haachama is not "an entertainer"; she reversed the roles and she is the one being entertained by the Haaton, with most of her best content being herself reacting to whatever Haaton prepared for her
2) Variety is hard and requires preparation. Singing and gaming is easier in comparison and whover wants to be a regularly scheduled streamer can't pack their schedule with too much hard to pull streams or they'll quickly burn out

NijiEN is treating youtube like Twitch. Archive views are the backbone of youtube which is why stream VODs get automatically uploaded and don't disappear like they do on twitch. The problem with NijiEN is that they are streaming all the time and putting in long ass hours doing so. You might think this is a good thing, and it is, to a certain degree, but this method is bad for discoverability and gaming the algorithm. By constantly streaming and streaming for long hours they aren't giving their channel any room to breathe. Old streams don't gain any VOD traction and nothing gets caught by the algorithm.

Some of Council takes it to the extreme in the other direction, which also isn't good, but Gura's model is unironically the best. Stream 4 or 5 times a week, most streams are 3-4 hours which is what the algorithm likes (it hates long ass VODs and rarely recommends them). Then take a couple days off and let your channel breathe. People check out the VOD content on her off days, the algorithm picks it up due to the activity, and that shit gets pushed to everybody. Boom, more channel growth and Gura fans are born.
