I've watched Bae trying to play Outlast and actually playing RE Village and I did know she's not good with horror but man, oh man I didn't think it's that bad. I'm not good with horror stuff myself, but she's on another level. I suddenly got an idea for a story prompt but I'm not good with writing (plus I'm an ESL) and then it crossed my mind: "Wait, there is a /wg/ thread here, maybe I can check it out." So here is my prompt:

(You) and Bea one day strongly decided to face your fears of horror movies and watch one together (you are at least a little bit better than har at dealing with horror). The plan was to watch it during the day time so it's less scary, but you both hesitated and stalled all the way to night itme.
You watched the movie while being incredibly scared all the way through.
It's late now and it's time to go to bed. You are laying in bed and viciously hugging each other (more like grabbing onto each other) so both of you feel less scared. Every like 2 minutes one of you ask the other: "You are still awake, right?", so neither of you can fall asleep.

That's the general idea, you as a writer can make anything you want out of it and focus on any part of this. Some more ideas or directions to inspire potential writers:
-Describing how you both masterfully stalled during the day and made up some stuff just to avoid watching it
-Describing your fears and reactions while watching the movie
-Bae need to go to the bathroom during/after the movie but is scared to go alone so she wants (You) to go with her. This can go in an interesting NSFT direction from here.
-(You) try to scare her just a li'l bit after the movie/after she exits the bathroom/the next morning but it is super effective and she now crying and mad at you for doing that. You are now apologizing and comforting her. Agan this can turn into NSFW scene easily.

I think it's fine. I can't speak for everyone here but personally, I prefer more vague prompts as it gives me more breathing room. Giving extra ideas is not the worst sin to commit though, just shows you're really passionate about the idea.

Actually, in retrospect, using a number is better to give everyone else a cue that a "winner" has been decided. And rolling does make it seem like rigging is taking place behind the scenes. So this entire policy is garbo, business as usual for this next choice, but we'll do the even/odd rolling thing if I'm in-house and available for writing.

There is kind of a problem with having a quest type story in here; namely that if anyone wants to post a story or a prompt or whatever, they wouldn't be able to while the quest is going on without coming off as uncaring jackasses, and also nobody would even notice their post.
A quest story is the opposite of what this thread has been about for close to a year now: posting stories/prompts and discussing them, which was a more passive affair. Compare with a quest which requires a far more active approach. I don't dislike it so far but it is at odds with what the thread's been about for so long now.

I don't think you're wrong, but I also think that thread deathposting is not super unwarranted. Having a regular, centralizing topic of interaction would decrease bored shitposting and improve health, I feel, but that's just my opinion. I won't be this present all the time, so if I get one update every day or so after we get moving, that should roughly match the pace of the thread ordinarily.

We already have a template for stories with audience participation: Holofantasy.
HFanon ocasionally pops up here asking for rolls and/or decisions, the last one being who went with (you) into the castle iirc. You could do that but more frequently; as in make the updates bigger and thus the part when the thread participates more stretched out to not bloat the thread.

The idea being that thread traffic is diverted between both /qst/ and /wg/. Which, again, in my opinion, sort of defeats the purpose of trying to revitalize the thread, but I'll leave it up to everyone.

The positive that it could increase thread activity is also a negative. The other anon is right: too many quests being started is why /qst/ got created in the first place, which would ruin the thread totally. So /wg/ is good as an option only conditionally.

I think just having bigger updates would be a happy medium. It comes at the cost of audience participation though, as the points for when the audience rolls to decide would be spaced out further.
Or you could do those bigger updates with multiple decisions in each, and let anons each have 3 or more in each post, but I don't know how you'd structure the story to allow that.

To add to this: /qst/ option would probably include this ruleset:

Rolls consist of two stats, determined by the winning command. Stats must be properly supported by the action, otherwise only one stat will be used. Rolls will be shown at the top of the post and performed by me, as well as the number needed to succeed in a particular command. Roll commands are only necessary when specified.

A roll of 4+ is a success. A roll of 6 counts as 2 successes. Roll a number of D6's equal to the sum of two stats. The difficulty is either static, and will be specified in the case of multiple choice, or will be rolled against an enemy's stat if in combat.

For example, if you had 2 in Strength, 2 in Agility, and you wanted to hit a target with an Agility of 3 who is explicitly dodging, you would need to roll a total of 3 successes to hit with a command that used Strength and Agility properly. Damage will be expressed narratively. More mechanics potentially incoming.
