>Note that the current map isn't set in stone.
>Geographical explanations of your region will help map placement.
>Greentexts of your generals lore in /vt/ land are much appreciated.
>Flags made for the region your oshi rules over are also appreciated.

figures. we need to get people who are interested enough in world building to keep this thread alive, but unlike /ybc/, /hfz/ /#/, /nasfagq/, etc. this thread requires a more indepth understanding of all the other threads and their relationship to each other to be successful. it's more complex than the average thread, basically. even if we got everything working, there would be no way to guarantee that our thread would replicate every other thread accurately, which is why we might as well not even try.
someone suggested just putting territories on the map for threads that don't already have land claimed for them, and i agree with this, but nobody wants to defend people who aren't even here, and we might run into problems when new threads are born or die, so here is an interesting idea, if we are creating nations for every thread on 4chan, what about this thread? shouldn't there be a nation that represents the world building thread if this thread exists? if so, what would it look like? how about we make it a nation that essentially exists to create new nations. this nation should be strong enough militarily that invading it's regions is a bad idea, but weak enough politically that it constantly gets separated into new regions every time it gets big enough to pose a major threat to the rest of the world, maybe it is just really well defended, but has a shit government, maybe make it a sort of confederacy, with a bunch of unrelated groups joining forces to survive the intense cold, breaking apart as soon as the problem that keeps them together no longer exists. idk if the south pole can be claimed, so i'll just say they are at the very bottom of the neutral territory in the coldest areas. attacking them in the winter is a bad idea, basically. they also conquer more of the neutral territory which is constantly changing ownership and thus would be a great target, but as soon as they get out of the claimed regions, politics gets in the way and they split off into new nations. if a thread dies, a nation gets conquered, or a new thread wants to join in, first they have to create lore for the worldbuilding nation to try to conquer a region that is at least close enough to where they want to go for them to be able to get there, and then if they want they can create lore about the politics that leads to the creation of their new nation. this allows for the map to be dynamic enough for people to get the regions they decide they want if they are willing to work for it, while also letting anyone (re)join in if they want.
this way we don't even need to give the threads that aren't participating any land at all, and keep in mind that you don't necessarily need to be from a thread to play their roles (you can claim a region for a different group if you think they would like it, if they don't like how everything is going, say that region got destroyed and that one of the new regions from the world building nation wanted to use their name and likeness, but with a few or maybe even a lot of tweeks to how things work. everything still requires someone who will make a map, unfortunately, but the less intimidating everything looks, the more likely someone will step up and try, right?
tell me how you guys think, or what suggestions you have on it.

>Invitation letter to other generals
Welcome, delegate anons from each threads and generals.
Simply begin by providing backstories, lore, and interesting trivia about the history of your general and/or thread and help visualize it in the form of worldbuilding.
After you are comfortable with the basic lore of your general-nation, theorize which terrain, climate, and neighboring border generals suit your nation's needs.
Here is the provided map of climates and spheres of influence: >>17765778
It can help giving where the rough congregation of influence should be (IE which threads go where)
If you wish to place yourself elsewhere on the map in relative position to the general sphere, you are allowed. As long as you provide valid backstory as precedent to your decision.
Image provided is the portions of land claimed so far. Do not be alarm, /∞/'s borders is a rough estimate of where their island will be placed. They are not a Borg Cube.

we are trying to make a world map to represent /vt/, pretty much. in the future, you could have role playing sessions like what you have in /tg/ or what not, but right now we are trying to figure out the territories. we would prefer it if the size of the nation vaguely represented the size/popularity of threads, but at this point we just want things to get started already. if you are from a thread, you can talk to them and try to contribute. so far we have flags, greentext/loreposts, and territories that you can work towards.

one thing that'd help for building /vsj/'s lore is to know how /hlgg/ describes its /jp/ origin. after the first few weeks of chaos on /vt/ and the ""great"" /nyan/ """debate""" threads, /vsj/ was formed by anons from /aco/'s /pmg/ thread -- which nicely mirrors /hlgg/'s /jp/ origin. the only major difference is that /pmg/ is still pretty active today, though with a slightly different culture than the one that we developed on /vt/.

Good day. I am a humble scribe of Infinitopia, here to represent /∞/. I have written a comprehensive history of our nation, having discussed it and taken into account the suggestions of other Kronies for a more collaborative and agreed-upon timeline.

This takes into account older, conflicting lore in the OP and tries to meld them together to create something more unified and, hopefully, easier to read. Some events do not line up 100% with reality, and others were shortened or expanded for ease of reading. I hope you all enjoy this and this helps put an end to the confusing suggestions by Kronies in the past.

Thank you kindly.

Writing from 総長 + 会長 (kson/coco).
>reimagined as rival nations fighting bitter battles for the glory of their oshis.
I lack the combination of creativity and autism to lead this initiative, or fully adapt it into a "lore", but I can share some thread history, thread culture and provide some rough ideas.
Our thread spent many months, with multiple distinct waves of being invaded by people more interested in drama than our oshi. It culminated in us removing english from the title, and seeding the catalog with secondary, intentional bait threads to lure the dramashitters away, for several months. At this point there is a "thread discipline" which is to just ignore anyone who say stupid shit and is not obviously a regular.

Geographically:
It makes sense (to me) for us to be an island between the Hololive sphere and the Indie sphere. I like the idea of the dual/twin islands, representing the two lives of our positive, lovable bitch, and her big round butt.

Culturally:
Owing to the months of adaptation to outsiders, it makes sense (again just to me) for us to have a very friendly, diplomatic leader/government who is willing to collab with everyone (because she is), but an isolationist people who just want to be left alone.

Maybe this is something to go on, maybe not. I don't have the time or dedication to join this project as a regular. If someone else from our thread wants to take lead instead, I defer to them, but at least this is an initial idea.

/akushio/ poster here. I guess I can let my autism out for a bit.

>History of our thread
The first thread was made in late August 2021. Before that we had the separate 湊あくあ and 紫咲シオン threads, but both of them suffered from being too slow for this board as well as attacks by schizos and rrats running around. The merge made sense since there's a certain overlap between the fanbases and our oshi are good friends.
We started out as /akushion/, but renamed to /akushio/ a few months ago.
I guess lore-wise this would translate to two weakened allied states forming a federation to protect themselves from outside attacks, 湊あくあ being the larger of the two.

>Thread culture
Despite the merge, Aqua crew generally talk about Aqua and Shiokkos generally talk about Shion without a lot of shared posting. This is because our oshi mostly interact behind the scenes. I would say generally 2/3 of the thread is Aquaposting and 1/3 is Shionposting, but it varies depending on who streams. The tone is mostly serious compared to some other generals.
Aqua has had a difficult year in 2021, streaming less and focussing more on idol stuff than gaming which occasionally lead to arguments between Aqua crew in the thread.
Shion tends to have periods of depreshion where she doesn't stream a lot and posts on her roommate's fanbox which sometimes leads to concernposting by Shiokkos.

>Relation with other threads
I don't know if we share a lot of posters with other threads.
I guess Shion and Aqua have some presence in the coomer threads, particularly Shion in /uoh/.
/#/ likes it when Aqua gets big numbers and calls her Nijikiller.
Some Shiokkos sought refuge in the saviorfag thread for Delta & friends before /akushion/ was a thing, but I think that relation died pretty quickly.

>Random events
Sometimes some shipposter or /ggg/fag comes to the thread to say AkuShio is a dead pairing or Shion is Gura's wife, but they mostly get ignored after being told that /akushio/ is not a ship thread.
Occasionally someone proposes to add Ayame to the thread since manjigumi used to be a thing and Ayamefags don't have their own thread, but a lot of posters are against it because it would attract shitposters and Aqua and Shion don't have a lot of connection to Ayame anymore.

>Location
Not sure about location, there's a few factors here if it's based on the holos themselves.
Other holo's they would be relatively close to are Okayu, Subaru, Marine and Nene.
It would make sense for the Aqua part to be a naval state with somewhat easy access to JP indie lands because of her connection to Norio and Mea.
For the Shion part I keep thinking about her Minecraft house which is an ice house on top of a hill and her 3D stage which is a sort of wizard tower with a telescope. So I'm thinking about a cold, mountain-y place.
Based on this, the top-right or the mountains near the middle bay of the holo continent seem like a good spot to go, but that's just a proposal.

personally i don't have the time to provide fictional lore, flags or other stuff you want, i don't know if somebody else already talked about Luna and Lunaitos, but if you want to know about the Luna thread, i can entertain you a little, if it's works with you and your world building.
For starters we actually don't call the thread /nna/, or general, that's just a zoom zoom thing recently, most of us just call it the Himemori Luna thread, back when vtubers only belonged to /jp/ in 2020, there was the sporadic Luna thread that wouldn't even reach 100 post and die, but it begun to gain traction around december when the 2nd holofes happened.
>>/jp/thread/S31132176
>>/jp/thread/S31349206
Later when /vt/ started, it was one of the first threads and the last to die, it lasted for 8 days.
>>/vt/thread/S31927
In regards to Lunaitos, there is an amalgamation of young and adult audience, but is mostly adult (20-45 y/o) both male/female, compared to other shubas we are not as many, but most of us are pretty loyal and dedicated to the Princess, some of us like her because of her taste in games, the way she sings, how she is different from other Shuubas, her electone, her sense of humor and chemistry and how she interacts with the holos, some like ecchi/loli stuff, but she is hardly a loli and more of a daughter, because men not only have the instinct of reproduction, but also the instinct to provide, protect and care, all men have a familial need for their own in their dna.
But those who have watched Luna long enough, knows that Luna is far from perfect, unlike many holos, she is in fact actually very flawed in many ways, despite all of that she works really hard in her own way, with the numbers of mengen or stream in general, and that strongly resonnates with anons here and in 5ch that specifically chose to post and interact on anonymous boards for a reason, that is exactly why, even if she is one of the least suscribed holos, unlike others that needs to fuse with other generals to survive, has a solid fanbase that won't let her thread die.

In regards to your map, i suggest you to include Candy Kingdom as a country and one of the founders of /vt/, relatively small with strong natural borders, high mountains, valleys and rivers and well protected, similar to Switzerland.

Mountains, hills, rivers, lakes, narrow land bridges, forests, jungles, different climates, etc. are all great ways for isolating nations from each other. There's no fucking reason that your specific general needs to be an island unless they're specifically naval themed, like if they have an aquatic themed chuuba, or they're trade oriented like /Nasfaqg/.
A tribe of cannibals like /meat/ would fit better in some mountains rather than some island where they would be easily wiped out by a naval power.

More than anything else we need to compile a bunch of data on the different generals. Something like a public spreadsheet would be useful.
All we really need is basic info, like average IP count, their corp. affiliation, what chuuba(s) or fetish(es) they focus on, and how active they are (average post count). Then if they have lore we could have that linked as well.
If we could gather enough data, we could start making nation borders for all the generals, and then sort out the border details afterwards. Otherwise if things continue as they are, we're going to end up with a bunch of empty continents and random fucking islands everywhere.

I definitely agree. I think that this thread is at a point where some artistic direction can be taken, as in, few dedicated anons could try to centralize the ideas that were formulated anonymously.
I like the idea of a bunch of people doing something together, but when facing something that is a larger project, there has to be at least a coordinator or coordinators to steer it and make decisions that are very simple individually (i.e. zoning) but extremely hard to decide on a mongolian basket weaving forum.

Alright, having at least one person agreeing will be enough for me to start compiling the data. However I've already run into an issue, which is that the archives just give a question mark for the IP count.
My plan was to calculate average IP using the number of IP's for the most recent 5 threads of each general, but instead I might have to calculate some form of activity amount based on the number of posts and the speed at which it took for each thread to die.

I've lurked here a bit and saw that you posted in my oshi's thread a while back so I figured I should write something more substantial than the one in the OP for /towa/.
I'm not sure how to really go about this for listing what is needed/desired so I'll just list out some things about the thread and general culture for /towa/ and Towa herself with her connections for future placement.
For the most basic thing of thread culture for /towa/ would be the typical cycle the thread goes through of menhera posting -> horny posting -> watching streams -> general discussion and repeating through this cycle, it's fairly on the Nose... for how the thread consistently acts.
The thread also frequently discusses other FPS chuubas including Nijis/VSPO/whoever plays APEX so a placement near the VSPO/FPS place would be apt. There's also some refugees from Nun Bora (NijiKR) and Sio (fat ass) who remain in the thread as well.
But the other predicament about this, is that Towa herself is fairly well connected with other members of Hololive, I would list them out but it's plentiful as well, on top of being part of Gen 4 who she is also close with.
For more generic thread culture, it would be the heavy prevalence of ellipsis posting (Towa...) that will often appear in the thread as well. There's also consistent offstream APEX tracking as well.
For more numerical information about the thread, it varies from 35-50ish IPs consistently, and there hasn't been a thread that's died early on /vt/ for nearly a year now with every thread hitting bump limit, so I'd like to say it's a fairly successful/active thread, especially for JP chuubas. Threads last 1 day to 2 days, depending on streams or any menhera posts.
Feel free to place where ever you anons seem fit, I'll answer the questions I can if you'd like to know more.

Nyahallo~ 35p from the Miko general
It doesn't seem like there's too many people interested over there. I got some ideas for a flag, but I've been sent as a delegate to essentially keep the worldbuilding autism contained to here. That said, other than being autistic enough to be into it, I'm not good at worldbuilding (art, mapmaking, lore) so it'll be rough.
Pic related is our claim (I'm an artlet pls be kind). In the middle is a 1.8km tall/(however many km that secondary orange part corresponds to) long shield-type volcano, that is moderately active. The ash-enriched soil surrounding the volcano enhances plant growth, with rich forests at the N and W petals, and fertile farmlands in the E, SE and SW ones. You'll notice I've modified the area around it compared to the original map to fit the volcano, not sure if that's ok.
Sakuran(さく欄) is a Theocracy, with the translators being the revered priests delivering the Shrine Maiden's words to the people. Shikemura is the capital, has the highest population and is responsible for the maintenance of the vast farmlands of the two south petals. Elytree is the country's connection to the western and northern parts of the continent, as it exports timber and minerals collected from the volcanic area and the mountainous area of the N petal through the river to nearby countries. Not many people live here, however, as, other than resource collection, there's not much to do. Most visitors will continue on towards Shikemura to marvel at the shrines built in honor to our maiden, or towards the tourist hotspot that is Los Faqtos. Los Faqtos is the industrial and tourism centre of the country, with beautiful sandy beaches on the northern part of the coast, and a bustling port on the south, as well as an industrial area to the west. Multiple trade routes pass through here, mostly to other Holo-associated countries. Material collected from Elytree are transported to Los Faqtos, processed, and then either used locally or sent to Shikemura to be used in building projects.
I had made this https://files.catbox.moe/p0tm9e.png flag, but after reading >>17829067 I made this one https://files.catbox.moe/vnrwz4.png (sakura blossom is lq because I can't find the original flower). I welcome feedback on this matter.
>>17809063
I've also collected data from the past 10 threads (excluding the one up right now) in here https://files.catbox.moe/5w1jt6.xlsx, hopefully they can be of use.
Regarding possible bordering nations, suggestions would be: Korone, Mio, Shuba, Pekora, Sora, Flare, (Coco if it still existed). I believe the Suisei general said they wanted to be an island, so that saves us a bit of trouble. On that note, regarding the request for lore expansion for PekoMiko/Micomet in the OP, this can be incorporated. Assuming Pekorand's only access to Mikoran is through sea, the micomet general can be an island contested by both pekomiko and micomet threads, as *ships* would have to pass by it to get Mikoran's port. Seeing as micomet general has come on top so far, we can say that the island is under their rule. Discussion of either ship is frowned upon in our thread, so any 35p participating in the battles can be considered pirates or mercenaries.
Other than this, I'm not sure how to go about writing lore for the general itself. I'd love to hear some ideas, though I'm not sure I'm invested enough to actually go through the process of writing it.

Yeah just to clear up some confusion, the worldbuilding is /vt/ and its anons. Not the chuuba community as a whole
So you dont have to 100% depend on the chuuba's lore and activities themselves. Theyre in their own godly realm far away from us. Anya-Petra is an example
IRL: Chuuba A and Chuuba B are in separate agencies, indifferent or hate each other
/vt/: Anons who are fans of Chuuba A and B are friendly with each other and even share drawfriends.
Then the lore of the country is based on the /vt/ community.

But that doesn't reflect what /vsj+/ is. It just reflect your idealised version of what /vsj+/ should be. There are currently more frogposters than there are snuffyposters whom you consider "+" VShojo General + in your head is the thread for the VShojo girls and the people they collab with. But that is not what the thread is. There are multiple (sorry if i sound like a faggot writing this but it's the closest thing) ethnicgroups within our thread. These groups don't interact with eachother as one community. Rather there are multiple communities within /vsj+/ like all the Connorposters/shipperposters who try to force weird ships every single thread. And the frootposters who don't even watch froot but just use her reaction pics to roleplay their gay fantasies in our thread (who thanks to jannies have recently been shut down) and we have the frogposters who have still not left our thread. This is what my flag is supposed to represent. If /vsj+/ was a real civilization outside of the internet. It would be a confederacy. A confederacy is basically a bunch of smaller states who aren't directly culturally influenced by eachother and they have their own communities and economies but they are still under 1 country for the benefits like political power and peace between them. Almost like a union rather than a country. This is what The Holy Roman Empire was until the people were united by the Prussians and formed kaizerreich

I'd rather we put our best foot forward and handwave away all the shitters, but it's a solution that lacks honesty. And I don't think Connor needs to have a state, he can just be weaved into the lore of Mousey's state. Personally I hate him, but that's an unpopular opinion in the thread.

Generally, that's technically the VSPO general, but since they tend to play lots of FPS games and dedicated threads for those die with relative quickness (or are off-topic), they tend to just all hang out in there (some people talk about them in /#/, because numbers is THE 'VTuber general'), it's basically a neutral thread.

The long story?
There were multiple attempts at an Anya thread for months, and its latest version at the time was "anya global" as a shitpost to bait /hlgg/ regulars to post there just to complain that they keep showing up in their searches. It was also during the time other X global shitpost threads were a thing like "pomu global", "mori global" or "petra global". While just a shitpost thread, Petra global attracted actual pentomos to it, for example this is >>9146735 THE Pentomo or the daughterwife poster in /NijiEN/, however, I don't think he(?) moved in with the other pentomos. When the thread died an early death, some pentomos decided to ask if they can stay. It lasted longer than the separate threads so the meme stuck.

Now, for something the surface world isn't aware of;
/trash/wvt/ predated /vt/ and was founded during Artemis of the Blue's debut, the violent reaction of /jp/hlgg/ contrasting with Your Average Rose (Now Kitanya) own 12(?)hr multi-part debut. Since the discussion of western indies was strictly not allowed in /jp/, the discussion was moved to the /trash/. The following weeks, Koopa Fortuna, a then frequent femanon in /hlgg/ subsumed an anon's fever dream into reality by debuting as a vtuber herself. That led to a second incursion of /hlgg/ posters to /trash/wvt/. How is this related, you ask? Well, /wvt/ housed "anyaposters", some melhomies to the thread for several months and had their own cultural mitosis in there. That's where all those Anya edits of various vtubers came from. As this board opened, some of those memes bubbled up back to /vt/. If you watched Ghost in the Shell, pic is definitely related.

There's also the various conflicts(and cultural admixtures) like /vt/wvt/ vs /trash/wvt/, /wvt/ vs /asp/, ties to small corpo threads like /tsun/, the existence of /lig/, but that's /wvt/ history not anya-petra history. But if you must know, /wvt/ DOES have a flag and it was a reference to the (Dutch) West Indies, as Anya-Petra's own flag was a reference to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Unfortunately, I cannot find it.

Just want to add some suggestion for how the /towa/ nation's culture would be like: While all gen 4 members are noted to be...rather attached to the their oshis, kenzoku are unique in that they are seem to have developed a hive mind state which is unfortunate since their oshi is a menhera. One quirk some have noted is the response to anti-ing, the common response would to simply ignore or lash out but kenzoku have been observed to response with a trance like state while monotonously mumbling "towa...". The /towa/ nation despite this religious fervorous have a rather pleasant disposition, prefering to maintain friendly relations with other chuubas' generals, one notable observation is that compared to other holos generals /towa/ is more accommodating for non-holo chuubas.

your flag looks more like a seals sticked together and it's too complex. Also I'm going to post this as a reminder
>The Five Principles are:

>Keep It Simple. The flag should be so simple that a child can draw it from memory.
>Use Meaningful Symbolism. The flag's images, colors, or patterns should relate to what it symbolizes.
>Use 2 or 3 Basic Colors. Limit the number of colors on the flag to three which contrast well and come from the standard color set.
>No Lettering or Seals. Never use writing of any kind or an organization's seal.
>Be Distinctive or Be Related. Avoid duplicating other flags, but use similarities to show connections.

>Of course there are exceptions to every rule, but depart from these five principles only with caution and purpose.
