Elira is continuing Xenoblade Chronicles in 25 minutes! She's been having a lot of fun with this game, even if she's not the greatest player, gameplay-wise! She loves the characters and is really into the story so it's been great to watch her enjoy it so much! You should definitely watch the archives and catch up on her playthrough! I'm so relieved that her internet is seemingly back to normal, that one month long fight she had with it last year was a horrible time and I hope she doesn't ever have to go through it again! She was going crazy last time over the story revelations and the love triangle, and it's only going to get better from here, and I can't wait to see her squealing over it! For me it's one of the best things about her but I also believe she has space to grow. All that means is that she'll keep working on it. It's one of the best things about her, whether she realizes it or not she's doing exactly what is needed to improve. It's normal to feel about yourself the way she does, most vtubers also have that kind of impression of themselves. With Elira it's especially noticeable with her collab behavior, she may be shy and doesn't always want to be the center of attention but when she feels it's needed of her she rises to the occasion and does her best, even performing as an organizer or "leader" at times. Being able to do that when it counts is something I respect. I noticed with some vtubers I watch there's sometimes worry that they might mess up in collabs or perform poorly socially, these days Elira never makes me worry about it.

Elira seems to be aware of how the HIP TEEN culture she's partaking in is perceived so that alone makes her seem more mature. I think the motherly vibes are there because she usually gets pretty comfy with her chat and has a warm personality. A lot of her interactions are exactly chatting with us, not just telling stories on her own. Maybe that's why she considers it a weakness of hers but she knows all the right things to say when someone is troubled or gets a honest kick out of chat's silliness, she feels really close to the viewer that way even if you aren't actively participating. That kind of care I'd consider motherly even though I personally don't see her as a mom kind of character, I'm in the Elira-oneesan camp.

Seems interesting, and there is a bit of history to this general, so it would make for a good addition.
I'm about to head to bed, so I'll jot down a few points, in case somebody wants to flesh it out while I'm asleep.

Location-wise, it should be a small peninsula connected to the main NijiEN nation, signifying that the once-small NijiEN fanbase outgrew its small peninsula and expanded into the larger NijiEN landmass. But, its roots still lie in LazuLight.
When NijiEN was first starting out, all there was was LazuLight. When LazuLight wasn't streaming, the thread would die for the day and wouldn't be recreated until before one of the LazuLights streamed.
As NijiEN grew, so too did the number of NijiEN-related threads. In addition to the NijiEN General, we had Pomu Global, Finana Ryugu General, and Elira LOVE. However, as more and more livers made their debut, the three LazuLight threads yearned for the old days of togetherness, and recombined into LazuLight General.

I watch story-heavy game vods that I missed at 1.25x speed, and slowing down for key plot points. Otherwise I don't bother with vods. If it's important the streamer will bring it up again or it'll be clipped.
Corporate vtubers are fortunate in that they will always have at least one dedicated fan clipper. A lot of indies either do it themselves or just accept that they will not have clips made of them.

I would say the number one reason to watch a VOD is because you really like the game and the liver and want to see her reaction to it. In which case I wouldn't slow it down but would carefully pick and choose the VODs of games I really like, from livers I really like. Elira is going to have a member's stream in 30 minutes! We're going to watch the entire Greed Island arc of HxH (2011!) It's going to take at least 7 hours to get through episodes 59-75, so make sure you have snacks and drinks, although I'm sure we'll take breaks, too! I wasn't a huge watchalong fan before Elira came along, but she makes them so, so enjoyable with her energy and genuine love for sharing her interests with her fans! Endurance streams filter me so hard. I want to watch Pomu git gud, I want to watch her interact with chat and figure things out together, things that just dont come through in clips and timestamps but it's just too long.
