Reading this, I just remembered that there were clips glorifying the use of SCs as a way to gain attention/baiting reactions from vtubers. I haven't been into watching vtubers (or streamers in general) until recently. I doubt that those clips alone are responsible for the massive influx of SCs, but I do believe that they incentivise the use of SCs as more than a token of support, and to some, as a mean of demanding something in return, like the "I paid you money now give me my gibs" kind. On one hand, I can laugh and cringe at the SCs begging for attention like their life depends on it. There is obviously a monetary incentive for going this route, but the psychological consequences are never worth it unless you're a sociopath. But I do believe she will put her foot down should it ever go too far or get to a point where it affects her mentally, though I don't know if it will be before it begins to affect her or after.

For first question, probably shitty RAM that came with the prebuilt.

For the old PC question, she didn't cannibalize anything from it for her new one, so the most likely reason is that something inside her old PC case got knocked loose when she was changing setups once the new build arrived. Also depending on how old her original setup was sometimes shit like that gives up the ghost out of nowhere, especially if you haven't used it in a while. I can almost guarantee Kronii didn't use her old computer after her new one came in, and depending on how old the components inside that one were, one of components inside could have just as easily died or shorted out if she didn't unplug stuff properly during the swap.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to recommend she look into getting her old setup back into a semi-working state so if she has something like this happen again, she at least has a fallback so she's not missing out on potential weeks of lost revenue for herself.

In all likelihood, the RAM was just a lemon. Supply line issues tend to increase the rate of bad components making it to market because the foundries let QA slip to avoid falling further behind.
