What if your general was not just a general but a nation, devoted to your oshi and their will? Enter this general where the fanbases and generals of /vt/ are reimagined as rival nations fighting bitter battles for the glory of their oshis.

2x Map: https://files.catbox.moe/7l45om.png
EX Map: https://files.catbox.moe/2v0vvs.png
>!!! THIS FILE MAY REQUIRE 5.5GB RAM TO OPEN UNCOMPRESSED!!!
>The map size is 54,000 x 27,000 pixels
>It is highly advised to "Right-click > Save target as" this image
>It is the largest filesize catbox will allow (186MB download, 195MB on disk)
>This map is to facilitate hamlet/village/town/city/etc. placement

CURRENT GOAL: Zoning for groups, Territory placement for specific threads, finalization of the map (redrawing so it is no longer patchwork-y).

>Note that the current map isn't set in stone.
>Geographical explanations of your region will help map placement.
>Greentexts of your generals lore in /vt/ land are much appreciated.
>Flags made for the region your oshi rules over are also appreciated.

Repost of the reasoning for using these boarders for organizations.
And if we have someone who's good at graphic design who can overlay this with the main map in OP.

Proximity:
>Holofags being able to access every other thread easily and being united (yet divided) due to their sheer size
>Nijifags being smaller, but sizable enough to have some overlap with Holos and other fanbases
>Neutral threads like Numbers, NASFAQ, /vsinger/ and FPS being easily accessible to the largest fanbases because of course it's obvious
>then we get the smattering of indies, smaller corpos and fetish threads that are largely on their own but together form a sizable portion of the map because they do have a lot of them

How I view threads:
>generals = territory
>topics = events, diplomacy, etc
>shitposts and bait = conflict, war, rebellion, etc

Zones are a mistake that limits any fun scenarios.

>> No.17436757

The Five Principles of Good flag design:

1. Keep It Simple. The flag should be so simple that a child can draw it from memory.
2. Use Meaningful Symbolism. The flag's images, colors, or patterns should relate to what it symbolizes.
3. Use 2 or 3 Basic Colors. Limit the number of colors on the flag to three which contrast well and come from the standard color set.
4. No Lettering or Seals. Never use writing of any kind or an organization's seal.
5. Be Distinctive or Be Related. Avoid duplicating other flags, but use similarities to show connections.

Surely any further attempt at improving or reorganizing it isn't worth it if the major players can't come to a consensus, no? Same confused anon, what does "zoning" entail as opposed to the alternative? Are "anti-zoners" proposing threads be interspersed globally with no pattern rather than grouped into supercategories?
Frankly, I'd be against that for two reasons: one, a restructure at this point would set us a few steps back even sans the arguing when it's really imperative we get things off the ground as fast as possible, and two I rather like the idea of my general being part of its supercategory, lore and all. It's not called "seething" or being a "zonefucker".

It's called being a committed fan to the /vt/wbg universe, you stupid faggots. I had a fucking storyline going as the grand architect and was going to finish the forced segregation arc, but no, the anti-zone anons have a fucking massive boner for freedom and decided to complain for literally zero reason.

It's just sad that good writing and story-telling and world-building is ruined by one fucking mistake. Anti-zoners don't deserve to win at all against zoners because

They are not real /vt/wbg anons yet. Just bullshit, cheap arguments against randoms because They are probably commie shitters.

Zones had a storyline going

Zones literally had the total agreement in the thread's prime, it's much better than no zones in that sense. If you compare zoning's all time peak to anti-zones there's no comparison.

>> No.17439545

The zoning argument was to just streamline and realistic reflect how nation building would go instead of creating what you call ' kaleidoscope hodgepodge'. It further makes sense when you look at splits where they normally are accepting of posts about vtubers also in the same organization, but become hostile when you post about someone from outside their group. So if you let people throw darts at the map it wouldn't make sense for most splits from hololive to be neighbors with nijisanji with a few outlier exceptions.
There's also the strength in numbers argument since if all of a corpo is together, it will make it harder for them to be conquered and totally destabilize the game. As opposed if they were scattered all across the world

Well, if a general wants to do that, I see no reason to stop them. I also see no reason to stop a general if it wants to group up with a bunch of others on one continent.
I don't understand why it has to be one batch decision either way. All that sounds like is a couple people forcing their ideals onto creators for no particularly detailed lore reason. Isn't the point of this creative exercise to put equal power in the hands of the board's people and then find a way to connect them all as part of a single narrative afterwards?

Seems like a pointless argument in general, I say just direct people towards the existing map and note that the listed boundaries are tentative. If someone has a problem with being where they're zoned, they can formulate a lore excuse as to why they'll be elsewhere.

>>17439545
Again, seems like putting the cart before the horse. So your excuse for not having zones is you want to micromanage people after they create a clusterfuck.
Absolute freedom is terrible for something like this because of unintended consequences. I.E. placing a hololive state right next to multiple Nijisanji ones is a sure fire way for the hololive one to be destroyed. And unlike the minecraft server wars, there's nothing to stop you from eradicating the vanquished. I thought it was implicit I was putting the burden of explanation on the one submitting, as in "you can deviate if and only if you can come up with a damn good reason". I'm not suggesting people be allowed to slap land down wherever they want willy nilly without thinking it through properly.

That said, I don't think it necessary that a state or nation be in a stable geopolitical position. It could very feasibly be part of lore to constantly be at odds with neighboring states and/or on the brink of destruction. What matters the most is if someone has the guts to follow through with the consequences of their decisions.

so, heres an idea. usually new vtubers are similar to someone else, or are born from a corporation with a preexisting archetype to fit to. we could say new chuubas are evolutions of previous chuubas, and that new nations form when these chuubas become independent enough to not be a mere clone of their closest inspiration, with the indies being the primordial soup of this world, if that makes any sense. the threads are what determine size, so if they don't exist, they get no threads because their nation hasn't been born yet, but as their nation begins to form, a preexisting archetype goes through the state equivilent of mitosis and out comes a new nation. one way to consider who it should come from might be whose threads decrease around the same time, which is generally going to be the kinds of people who are interested in the same archetype, so this is basically all an emergent property of threads being what determines the size of any given nation or state, it's just that we now have an explanation of what is going on when that happens instead of needing to figure out every detail as if they were completely unrelated.

my articulation is bad, so let me try to simplify it
>new streamer is like old streamer
>old streamer's fans are interested in traits that new and old streamers share
old streamer's fans become new streamer's fans
>old streamer(s) lose some territory due to fewer threads and posts, which are now diverted to new streamer
>new streamer has claim to some territory, how that is represented is up to discussion, but what is going on helps guide that discussion instead of it becoming a free for all.

My point is while some new splits might eat away at old ones, it's possible for new ones to be created and co-exist because posters are not a finite resource.
So for the short term, we should leave empty territory as a fail safe for the early part of this.
If your theory pans out and we see splits die, everyone gets to expand, problem solved, if not, we got free space and a new split doesn't have to first make their first act a declaration of war against someone within their own company for land.

well, if your idea were to get more popular, i am sure anons here would work out the details, but it's important to think about these things before too, because if you could travel to other realms (reddit, twitter, etc) then we could potentially invade/be invaded by redditfags and newfags and what not. if the power of the gods could be influenced from out or realm worshipping, then the most popular would be the strongest, irrespective of the threads. it's also worth knowing how they influence each realm. if they could only influence the realms they are actively in, then kiki and pippa would be the only nations with the backing of living gods, and would therefore gain an unfair advantage /here/. if they play no role in the daily lives, then you'll have to explain why atheists and what not don't exist, which is boring and stupid, but if there is any influence, you need to explain how, and what kind of influence they get. i think your idea is genuinely interesting, but you need to develope it further.

The climate chart doesn't exactly make sense, and that isn't normally how territorial borders are made anyway. Normally they go by:
>natural barriers (mountains, canyons, water bodies, etc)
>man-made barriers (border walls, fortifications, watch towers, etc)
>climate barriers
Why are those at the bottom? Because living beings will often fight to claim the most beneficial territory that they can adapt to, which humans tend to be very good at given their ability to create tools and understand the world around them.

I feel like this wouldn't be significant for most anons since not everyone is checking what other generals are doing. For example, I heard that Kronii's general makes a lot of fanfics but I never read one nor I care about them.
Picrel is one of the OCs some anon in the Suisei general did tracing some art. There's like 13 of these and they don't go outside of the general

Assuming we go with "presence", how would that be established? It's not like there's an exactly objective way to determine that, as asking people in their own threads may suggest higher relevance than in actuality. Assuming this general is the "head" of the projecr, I think it would be a good idea to try and determine a rough draft of areas for each general then push it to them for feedback.
That said, I'm against the "presence" suggestion because, as /vt/ is a predominantly EOP and redditfag/Twitter fag-infested board, ENs (of all corps/indies) would be disproportionately represented compared to their JP counterparts. Half the Holo and Niji continents would be EN members, I'd wager. Similarly, this us why the rrat >>17543287 suggestion isn't great either, though there may be a bit more balance there.
Average IP/posters can be a metric, though I wonder how that would work with many posters participating in multiple threads. Age of threads can be incorporated into each nation's lore, I feel. It does make me wonder, how many of the original generals when /vt/ opened up have stayed without merging/fizzing out. I don't imagine we'd include /jp/ stuff, right?
I would still put forth my subscriber proposal, but it would include some scaling to fit the map. That is, in the Hololive continent, since many of the Holos have 1mil+ subs, their size may end up similar to Niji nations with 100k subs, or with smaller Corp chubas with 10k subs.

Towa general and Suisei general are the first two that come to mind. The Okayu general, which is one of the first, ended up merging with the Korone general
One would need to check the archives for these things
Average IPs is the best metric to know the power of a nation imo

The history goes as follows
>/jp/-Antediluvian Heavenly Kings Era
The time of primordial myth. When the Heavenly King deities ruled over the world.
Kizuna, Mirai, Siro, Kaguya are the Titanomachy.
Minor deities attempted to challenge them like Fuji Aoi but to no avail.
Then came the two minor deities, Sora and Mito
At first the primordial ones saw them as small challengers until
>The Spring
From everywhere new religions appeared. Nijisanji, 774, and Hololive
The golden age of /hlgg/
Over time the Titanomachy lost their powers
Kizuna lost control over her pantheon, the rest couldnt stop against the reformists
With cheaper methods of attaining godhood, almost everyone could be an indie deity
Over time the influence of the new deities grew as the monopoly of previous pantheons fell
It grew out of hand until
>/jp/ - /vt/ Transition
The Great Flood of the 4chan Vtuber community
The realm of /jp/ banished every vtuber worshipper to realm of /vt/
Those that stayed in /jp/ are either loyalists of the old religions (Animare, Nijisanji JP, Honeystrap, JP indies) or remnants of the primordial Heavenly Kings
Schisms between the JP and EN communities, the influence of the Heavenly Kings gone to the void
A new Era has arrived
>The Beginning of /vt/
We all know this part
/hlgg/ empire survived but became /hlg/, think HRE claiming itself to be Rome
Other corpo community also survived
But their influence is no longer JP centered, instead they have mutated into becoming regionalists
SEA, KR, EN
Over time new smaller pantheons appear, and so are minor indie deities
MyHoloTV, Tsunderia, Vshojo
>The present
Too many deities, too many pantheons, too many organizations, too many conflicts
There are those who want to become gods (/asp/)
There are gods among the commoners (/pyon/)
There are those who defile the gods (/ringo/, /ag/, /meat/)

In my mind that would work too. I just prefer the way Tolkien has power described and used in mystical ways. They could break continents and reshape the world with their struggles but they don't take such direct actions because of how that effects the populations living there. I think its works as a way to allow threads to have their chubbas as their head of state without allowing people to just claim that takes actions that would lead to power level arguing. There is also the aspect that the chubbas aren't unified so overt action would invite response and any direct conflict between two chubbas would have the possibility of having ripple effects across the world. This would then cause all the cubbas outside of the conflict to unite against the two in conflict to prevent their fighting from damaging the foundations of the world. The idea being that none of them can take direct actions because it would invite a response from everyone

lol, /meat/ having a debate over whether or not vore should count as /meat/ on the world building thread. they are different in means, but are the same in result. vore is impossible and somewhat uncreative. if you've seen any dolcette stuff, you'll know that presentation is a major factor for them. if i were to try to connect this to world building, i would say that vore would loosely be part of the general idea of /meat/ but wouldn't be respected by the general population. also, as far as lore goes, how would you eat a person whole? what mechanic would you use to be able to do it? you could always take the snake route where your jaw is parted in the middle, allowing you to open it, but then you need to explain how you can avoid the internal bleeding caused by eating something the size of your whole body. basically you'll need to reinvent what it means to be a human.

hard vore and cannibalism both involve consuming. i agree that vore is trash (especially soft/ same-size vore) but considering that vore is mainstream while cannibalism is literally guro (erotically grotesque) i don't know if you can use that word to describe it. soft vore is absolutely unrelated to canibalism, but /meat/ was expanded to include /sbg/ (royna, guro, cannibalism, vtubers related to those things) so since hard vore ends in snuff, it is technically guro. and since they are eating them regardless, it is still technically cannibalism. as i said, the difference is in presentation, the only similarity is where everything ends up. vore is sloppy eating, but it is still eating, just skipping the first stage of the digestive system.

>>17623147

/g/ may have played a role in that. this isn't the secret club anymore, but it is still edgy. the newfags who come here for edgy content don't come to /vt/, while the oldfags who decide to be openminded with the new boards find a culture that has yet to be fully formed. /vt/ isn't recognized by many vtubers (besides kiki, pippa, and maybe a few others) so the end result is a culture that is more open to oldfag ideals while still having it's own interrests. also, there are few places cannibalism can be talked about openly. the number of royna vtubers attracts cannibals to the general concept, and when they see instances where their interests are talked about, they engage in it. this is basically what happens when two niche subjects overlap.

Anyways, vore faggotry is a complex art form that you simple minded barbarians wouldn't understand. vampirism is anything that drinks blood. vampires are not fanged, bloodthirsty demons that live in coffins and don't like the sun, though many folktales describe them as that. zombies are technically walking human corpses (medical zombies arejust braindead) so it is arguably cannibalism if the body is already dead. cannibals have been described in many ways by folktales (ghouls, for example, are graverobbing cannibals, they don't need to be undead, though many depictions of cannibals describe them in a way that implies brain degregation due to prions and what not, which could make them medical zombies, but not undead zombies) if we were to follow your standard, cannibalism would be impossible because anything that ate their own species would no longer count as a part of that species.

so /uoh/ is a sort of neverland where everyone turns into lolis? are they only lolis when they are in uohland, would it change their age outside of uohland, too, or would it make them loli's permanently. are they all immortal or is it just a visual thing? would it physically weaken anyone who enters by giving them the body of a child (defensively useful due to reducing opponents to children, which they might not be used to, but reduces offensive capabilities for the same reason) as a /meat/ barbarian who also has a penchant for /uoh/, this is very important for me to know.

Yes, the land senses ill intent and would do this to invaders.

No ;)

>> No.17681412

by immortal, i mean they never age (longevity immortality, not perfect immortality. they are children forever, what kills them?) if they get the weaknesses of being childlike, why wouldn't they get the strengths of being childlike? i mean, they'll be cute regardless, but it would be cool for world building in my opinion if they could benefit physically from their phisiology. at least let them live longer.

ok, but you also said they are only lolis when they are in uohland. if someone spent a long time in uohland and then left, would they age abruptly like the nazis from indiana jones or would they continue to age from their new loli age?

The effects grows weaker as you go farther out. Your age would catch up to you by the time you're out of uoh territory.

>> No.17686241

>>17684973
so is it exponential? if you were at the center of the territory, what age would you be (toddler or something)? if it is like an upward slope between the center age and whatever age you actually are, wouldn't it be true that the immortality would only really be present at the center (otherwise you still age due to the growing difference between your actual age and the ideal loli age, but it is significantly slower the further you are from the center, with the center being completely halted? is there a grace period that counts as the center, or do you need to be in the exact center of the entire territory to be truly immortal? would the immortal effects overlap with the lolification effects, or could you have immortal lolis of different age groups depending on their distance from the center that are just as immortal as the ones in the center, but once it gets to a certain point (when it is no longer considered a loli, maybe 12 or so) the immortality effect starts to wane until it is lost completely once it is outside the territory. and most importantly, if they died in uohland, would their corpse still be under the effects and then be lost outside of uohland, stop permanently at the stage they were in when they died (ignoring the decomposing process, of course), or immidiately return to the proper age? i would obviously prefer it if the effect makes their body stay lolis even outside of the uoh territory. it wouldn't be very polite for a meal to turn into dirt in your stomach when you left the hospitality of the host, now would it?

There is no center, there is only the uoh territory. If you venture out it's vicinity, age would return to normal exponentially based on duration within uoh.

i don't fully understand how these two can both be correct, but how fast would it be? if i am not mistaken, once you are inside the territory, you turn into a loli, and when you are outside the territory you slowly return to being normal. how fast do you turn into a loli, and how fast do you turn back once outside? if one is gradual, and the other is immidiate, why? i might as well ask if they go back to their original ages, or the ages they would have been if not for the neverland effect, as i was making assumptions before regarding people suddenly aging to dust when they exit. also, while i can guess, i should ask what they would do in uohland for all that time. just list as many things that pop in your mind, and i'm sure future loreposters will add to and potentially include what you say here.
