The membership fee is a minimum barrier entry to show you care about them, which results in the streamer feeling more comfortable and open in them.
With gifting, that feeling is thrown out the window. When we have "SAY ARA ARA", "wtf this is cringe", and "I AM VIETNAM" commenters in her members stuff, that entire feeling of comfiness is gone. Even just the thought that theyre there will probably be enough to ruin any closeness Guras felt with us.

Gifted memberships in practice means that there is no true "members only" content. It means random greynames will just flood the chat with their usual spam. It would be just like a regular stream. There would be no comfy time with Gura anymore, or the chill atmosphere or Gura being relaxed and just herself. Or experimental with her content either. This all applies to other chuubas as well, but effectively gifted memberships render being a member utterly pointless. There simply won't be true "members only" content anymore. Why would she even bother trying? For whom? Again, there are no genuine members at this point, just "chat" like in the regular streams with all the bullshit that entails. Why and HOW could she be more authentic and relaxed? It just becomes impossible. You are no longer a valued member who likes her so much he actively supports her, but the same like Rashneed Rajputani who stumbled into the stream with no other reason that to ask a female to show bob and vegana.

The whole ordeal will just trivialize and sterilize her content, and remove any incentive to put in an effort for a good members stream OR just talk to us in a comfy zatsu. Both of those things just become impossible. Even if the whole thing gets bumped up and members only becomes available to a second tier members, it still means that Google is fleecing us in a cynical, amoral way - pay more for the content you already had. The whole thing just reeks of bullshit and is offensive to the actual fans and disrespectful to the chuuba. And it gets worse when you think about girls like Gura and others who are always a bit subdued and nervous around too many people (outsiders).

We just used it as a general example because it's the most recent, but as a general rule yes, greynames really do go through cycles of spamming "Speak Vietnamese" or other languages, or retarded attempts at flirting, or general obnoxious requests/spam, meaningless questions "How old are you/are you a child/hey baby/where do you live" etc. depending on which ethnicity and culture discovered her via their forums, or facebook groups or whatever.
