Sheltered and shy.

People make up all kinds of bullshit about autism and crippling social anxiety, but both of them used to work service jobs and had no issues with it. Pekora isn't even particularly shy, she's just quiet. Being anxious in new situations is common and normal.
Aqua in particular seems a bit stupid in general, which makes her issues look worse than they are.

I honestly don't know, but the idea of caring for a dying person doesn't really do much for me, as opposed to just caring for a relatively healthy one

If you have to recurre to a bunch of strangers on the internet to blow steam about your problems, you may have an issue for not having someone to speak, the problem is that this kind of behaviour open the door to become an atention whore, in the short term is a good and adictive feeling to have a lot of white knights encouraging you, but that creates dependency, and when the problems are too big to solve in this way, there comes big depression or famous meltdowns, everybody knows how in the worst case that ends, and the fans themselves have problems, it's normal to seek for something that entertains or makes you happy, it's not normal to actively seek negative situations that could deppress you, and they seek it daily and are unable to improve her situation.
>Kiara
She knows exactly what is her problem, but she won´t do anything about it, because she is the kind of person that will always see the grass greener on her neighbor's yard, she is the person that after 20 years of a perfect marriage, will cheat because she feels a lack of thrill, what i mean is that she creates her own problems and refuse to check what she has around her, and you can't teach her that, because for narcissit people reflection and meditation is a ridiculous waste of time.

A psychosomatic chronic disease that causes pain in the joints of the body of varying degrees. Sometimes mild, somtimes unbearable, without any true organic component to it. It most commonly afflicts women on a rate of 1:10 M:F ratio, and it often affects women above the age of 30, but cases as young as 21 are not too uncommon. It's biggest association is stressful lifestyles, often afflicting housewifes with multiple children and heavy workload.
It's extremely difficult to treat properly usually needing high dosages of NSAIDs, antidepressants and therapy to fully control.

>extremely difficult to treat properly
You can't really treat it. Only thing you can do is learn how to manage the pain. Taking painkillers will make you unable to live normally. My doc refuses to give me pain-meds because I wouldn't be able to work as well if I were taking them. Anti-inflammatory drugs are no good either, my sister took them for a while and it fucked up her stomach.
It's a difficult condition to live in, because the only thing you can do to limit the pain is stay active and have a healthy stress/suffering management routine. But if you slip off, you're in more pain, less motivated to keep up the routine, so you slip more, you're more in pain, etc.
And it becomes very quickly co-morbid with mental issues. Hard not to be depressed when your muscles are stiff and you're in pain all the time.

>It's biggest association is stressful lifestyles, often afflicting housewifes with multiple children and heavy workload.
I've thought a lot about the cause for my personal case, and I think it's hyper-vigilance. Usually it's found frequently in people with PTSD, like former soldiers or security guards. There's a correlation between PTSD and fibromyalgia. I don't have PTSD though. The farther I can stretch that is a lack of oxytocin causing me to be in a perpetual state of fight-or-flight and unable to relax.

Thanks for reading my blog-post, I guess AMA if you want to know more about Kiara's condition, including the whole thing about women faking it.

Dunno if she's said anything but usually its caused by the stomach's acid going up the esophagus, irritating it. The causes vary. Could be something stupid like her diet or stress or something a bit more complicated. By itself it isnt something to worry about unless its really frequent, the real cause of it could be a different matter since it could develop into gastritis, esophagitis or perhaps something else. Im no doctor but had to deal with this topic. Of course I could be wrong though so take it as you will.

I think that some stuff you just can't help but feel self-conscious about, no matter how successful you are or how much reassurance you get. It helps, no doubt, but I think everyone can kinda understand that feeling of a little voice that undermines you, and how some days you just can't help but feel it more keenly than the next. Some people can ignore that voice more readily than others, others are pretty much like Aqua or Polka and straight up can't get beyond that voice telling them to doubt themselves.

I don't think Miko's unhappy, and I do think she legitimately has a good time, loves her fans, loves interacting and is probably incredibly happy that she's able to live that idol dream she's had for whoever knows how long (that crying during the sing session with Sora was very clearly indicative of how much the idol thing means to her, for one).

I just imagine that even with all of that, if something were to go awry she'd probably feel it pretty strongly.

What I find interesting is her own perception of herself, either as Miko the character or the person behind the character. The way she likes to paint 'Miko the Idol' is that of a girl who screws up, cries, but in the end dusts herself up and tries again. Despite her occasional self-esteem issues I think she actually does have a good sense of her own capabilities in that regard.

This is all just MUH OPINYUNS but maybe between the post-GTA success and having the fans help and support her even during her hiatus it made her realize that it was okay to trip and fall, because there'd be people around to support her so long as she herself didn't give up.

When you realize most Austrians/Germans are like this it's actually fine. You just have to get used to their bizarre nature. Honestly Kiara's biggest issue is she wanted to be an idol, went to Japan, and it didn't happen which probably fucked her up and gave her mad depression or something.

The burp to hiccup thing is true. She will rarely mess up the conversion and it is obviously a small burp. There are also clips of her roommate doing it, with no attempt to mask it. I wouldn't be surprised if she started doing it just for hololive, though she claims to have started it earlier.
I don't know what could cause that, though. I guess she just burps a lot.

>When you realize most Austrians/Germans are like this it's actually fine.
I'm German and people aren't weirdly rude and cunty like Kiara. Watching her you get the idea that she's keeping a ledger of minor slights and constantly seething just under the surface.

German "rudeness" is a meme that comes from the German tendency to be sincere and literal in their communication. If you ask a German a question you're likely to get a somewhat real answer, whereas with Americans for example you'll more often get fluff positivity, or something couched in layers of copium that protects the feelings of the asker. A German will often just tell it like it is. The expectation is that if you don't want an answer, then don't ask the question.
Germans also tend to be more reserved and aloof and keep their distance unless there's a need to communicate. You don't see people striking up conversations with strangers, ever, anywhere, aside from parties. Anglos tend to see that as unpleasant, but Germans see it as being polite, as not bothering other people with nonsense. They won't generally offer help either, but will go to great lengths if someone does ask for it. It's just a different culture.

People sometimes compare German and Japanese culture, because both seemingly share some similarities, but they are very different. Japanese people would find the average German unbearably rude and anti-social. Germans would find Japan oppressive and distressingly fake.

Austrians are generally seen as more polite and more gregarious than Germans.

I have never met a 'polite' Austrian. They tend to ask very and extremely blunt questions. Perhaps it's the language gap but Kiara falls far more in line with what I think of when I think of an Austrian personality wise.

This is not what the anon meant and you know it. Kiara is a living stereotype. She is the domineering German. When interacting with others, they have to go along with whatever kiara is saying.

Gura has to be her child. Mori has to be her husband. Gura cant say things like "come to papa" because germans can't handle "insubordination".

Being fired from every single job you've held is usually categorized as interfering with your ability to live a normal life. It's only a matter of time before Kiara fucks it up again. Probably 1 year from now if she doesn't make any attempt to fix that part of her behavior.

Reminder: Behavior is not personality. And personality disorders are not actually personalities. Behavior can be fixed and bad behaviors should not define who a person is. Personality disorders simply describes a set pattern that a person behaves that shares similar treatment. For example, dialectical behavior therapy is the recommended therapy for those with borderline personality disorder, but not for narcissistic personality disorder, which is usually psychotherapy (talk therapy).

Germans don't randomly say hurtful things to each other either, it's not a cultural thing, it's a socially retarded thing. I have a (female) coworker who openly says shit like "drop x, you need to focus on your career, you shouldn't prop her up" while the person he's being told to not bother with anymore is sitting right next to the person saying that, and you can outright feel everyone cringe, because that's just not how you act even in Germany.

You idiot. The reason they are a thing isn't because of the process, it's because they all typically end in similar things: social death -> suicide (or even murder). They are labeled as such because those are common patterns that precede the end. So in that sense, they are all technically a thing. Unfortunately, it's difficult to balance out between those that actually have it vs those that don't (malingering). Psychiatrists tend to lean more towards safe than sorry because one missed patient could become the next mass murderer. And the treatments are scientifically proven to be effective in preventing untreated end result (otherwise insurance companies would never cough up the money).

Most of the disorders including anxiety disorder, gambling addiction, ADHD and Sleeping disorder have well established neurological pathways that are confirmed to be dysfunctional/underdeveloped. If you weren't such a schizo, you'd actually read up on these papers rather than getting your sources from some stupid news articles or discussion boards.

In the case for ADHD, there is only one method that is considered viable, without using an mri, to determine if one has adhd or not: the IQ test. It has a extremely high specificity of > 99%(meaning that if someone tests positive, we are 99% sure they have adhd). The dumbed down explanation of using the iq test to diagnose adhd is that if a person has a Verbal Comprehension, Visual Spatial, Fluid Reasoning, and processing speed greater than their working memory, they will most likely have adhd. This is because working memory is essential for attention.

The reason why this is the preferred test is two fold. Firstly, when checking by using a mri (gold standard for diagnosing adhd) >99% that tested positive using the IQ test were also confirmed positive via MRI. Secondly, the test is significantly cheaper than using the MRI. However it costs around $4000 and so most grade schools will just accept a simple screening test to diagnose ADHD, even though screens are more sensitive than specific (if they test negative, they most likely do not have adhd, but if they test positive, there is no guarantee that they are have adhd.)

The general ability index (which is a better predictor for success than IQ) does not factor in working memory and in my case, I have a general ability index of around 144 but an IQ of 125. This is due to my shit tier working memory (~37th percentile, below 33rd is considered mental retardation). Because of this, I am clinically diagnosed with ADHD. Ironically enough, because my IQ is the average IQ of my peers (medical students), I did not qualify for any academic accomodations, but that's besides the point.

The main point of this was to disprove your schizo argument. Go read some research papers before you pull those conclusions out of your uneducated ass.
