Old mod that gained clout some time after the handover to Hiro, had a weird entourage thing going on among the newer mods and Hiro kind of let them do what they wanted for the longest time, probably because being as hands-on as moot under the circumstances just wasn't viable. Such things included fucking with old boards like /a/ and /v/ to screw up the board cultures and straight up ignoring rules. Also the death of Sakurafish, refusal to regulate Smash threads on /v/ among other things. Also straight up admitted to hating /a/ and anime whilst actively moderating the board.
There was a whole slew of screencaps of the IRC where people were complaining about his bullshit and getting ignored and mocked for even trying to address the problem. I don't know if Hiro ever purged those mods but I hope he did.
