The biggest issue is that Cover can't make that market because it's own EN market's first contacts with idol culture were negative ones due to unfortunate timing. r/hololive used to be unofficial, but got converted around the debut of 4th gen by Coco and Artia(yes, they were cooperating at one point, as crazy as that sounds now). And then immediately Aloe graduation(which was misunderstood in the west as being predominantly boyfrend-related) and Towa yab happened. Add to that the usual redditor screeching against "ToXiC JaPaNeSe IdOl CuLtUrE", and the market got quickly set as an anti-idol one.
With neither of the two big EN players wanting to push towards unicorns, small EN corpos being less relevant than ever, and JP unicorn-oriented corpos staying the fuck away from the west after seeing what happened with Hololive, I don't think we;ll ever see the full potential of the unicorn market.
