People can ask me anything they want and i will even help them with stuff if i can.
but i don't really like it when people expect me to randomly drop everything i'm doing so that i can go and entertain them in dm's

What shocks me is that i’ve learned that not every Indie on twitter is acutely aware of corpos. Some are oblivious, seeing vtubing in all it’s aspects as a hobby, and ironically, they are the most worthwhile ones to follow. I see glimmers of hope down here for the future of EN Vtubing, but the amount of wannabe unfiltered garbage is incalculable.

Honestly the impression I've gotten is most of it is people that either didn't use 4chan before and came here to promote themselves to gain a community and quickly realized they don't fit in, or people already here realized they don't fit in as a known entity in a thread. I've used this website for literally more than half my life at this point and I'm still not comfortable with or used to having something I post responded to by name instead of Anonymous #12345.

Anons, what are your thoughts on powermods? Users who mod for multiple streamers. I dislike it, because if you're moderating for two streamers, you can't be in all their streams, and I feel you should probably be in a plurality, if not majority, of someone's streams as a mod.
But a powermod knows their way around Twitch, and has proven experience to show that they can do their job.

I guess it depends what you're playing? Stardew is slow, pausable, and so if anything happens, the streamer can fix it. If you're playing Grandmaster Tier LoL or something, you can't take eyes off gameplay for a second, so you probably can't deal with chat.

Yep! This is how I saw it and why I was so surprised at the hololive stuff when I started streaming. When people asked me my favorite Holo, I would sort of freeze up because the only one I knew of was Ina from watching her gesture drawing streams, and I only watched those because I already watched a lot of art streaming/video content beforehand, not because she was in hololive. I scarcely knew what it was when I started, other than that the dog girl was annoying to hear and the red head girl yelled a lot.

Streaming has always been a hobby and that is why the existence of numberfriending has always been sort of strange. I have watched a 2-4 viewer no cam streamer for the last 4 years. He is not inclining, he is not gunning for the greats. He is just playing what he likes on stream, it is a hobby and fun to hang out and watch him. I found him while looking at a niche game category and have watched him since. That is how streaming has always felt to me and that is what I went into my own streaming with and why I sort of suck at advertising myself, at getting attention or "inclining", I think. I have mostly hovered around the same range for a while because I stream like a hobbyist, even if I wish I could wrap my head around being a better streamer.

twitch. mostly because Twitch Leecher can easily queue up a ton of VOD downloads to my archive server, all sorted by uploader and timestamped. I use Viddly for youtube downloads and it just dumps everything to one folder, and takes longer per hour than twitch leecher. also, I have a script set up that can grab the chatlogs for twitch VODs, and text searching the chatlogs can make certain edits waaaaaay shorter. I've not found or set up anything similar for youtube.

Krimbo here, there's a lot of reasons I'm wild for streamloots, mostly i am pushing for partner which needs your viewers to play 500 cards in 40 days, but since I only stream 2-3 days a week it's a tight deadline. If I hit partner that's an extra 10% a payout I believe.

Basically I was told soundalerts was a good way to make money on stream but personally I don't like using the same stock everyone else is using. Every had like fart reverb and "suprise mother fucker" and I'm just not feeling that. So I was starting to work on sound stickers which i would trade art for voice lines and get vtuber voice lines to appear with stickers I drew. I was working on that when Leaflit told me about streamloots, it's basically an alert system that works like opening packs of cards. The thing that I don't like about it is, PRELOADED card sets are all one game, like DBD or Phasmo, but I don't play any of those games and if I did it's not like it's my main content, so it makes more sense for me to make my own cards that are tied to redeems and sound alerts that are not entirely focused to one game. I'll reply to myself here to explain why I like streamloots so much and why I think other vtubers should make the most of the system.

What is steamloots? Basically its just an alert system that can be used to show artwork while playing a sound when used. These can be tied to redeems, or giving out prizes like i do with sketches, so it ties a lot together in one neat little package.

For example this card here I made forces me to do 5 pushups and or jumping jacks, I have some cards that play a voice line from other vtubers ( i do not like recordings of my own voice while im talking in my stream ).

It's also fantastic for giving away as prizes or just giving cards to people for supporting you or being an active viewer. I have some meter building mechanics where I give away packs as prizes once it's full.

Lastly compared to subs which even as a partner you only ger 50%, right now I get 80% profit from streamloots, The viewers get more tools to interact with chat, and I am getting a ton of use out of my sketches and little pieces of art that would otherwise sit around being unused. I get pretty excited about making new cards with new effects and seeing what people like to play the most. Next up i will be making cards that shrink and grow my model.

Lastly I like how I can get the card system to work with twitch redeems, if people store up points they can buy packs which means viewers don't have to pay money to play along or be part of giveaways etc. Also it lets me clean up my redeems and not have 40 redeems sitting there that are not always applicable to my current stream.
