half the nijiEN songs have some grammar errors in them as well. the very first line in "God sees all" and that song is pretty much just a chuuni isekai poem put into google translate. I stopped watching Luxiem's song when I heard "You're gonna gain or pain"

Unfortunately, a common trait of all English-language Vtuber songs is that they go for lyrical meaning without considering melodic timing enough
And frequent use of the "just make 5-30% of the song have Japanese lyrics" strategy (which makes me question the purpose of there being an English song in the first place). "ALiCE&u" could've avoided all these problems if it was in Indo, but like >>16560856 mentioned, English songs are "trendy". Even if your ability to write and speak English is mediocre at best, still force a song, because that's the music meta, i guess.

But I feel like the point of this song was just for SquirrelGirl to flex her vocal ability, and she did a stellar job of that. if you want the opposite of ESL-sounding music, listen to mori's "end of a life".

but at the end of the day you can find the middle ground between solid melodic timing and superb lyrical meaning, you might still only get... a strong 4 to a light 5
