I don't think anyone should be surprised their team didn't do well considering the level of the lobby.
The teams consisted of 1 pro 1 content 1 variety, in their case ipn was the pro, Selen was the content slot and bruce was the variety slot.
Ipn is easily in the bottom tier of pros considering he doesn't play comp and was kicked from his team.
Selen is easily in the bottom tier of content creators since she's a diamond level player who got carried to higher ranks once while players on other teams filling that slot have plenty of legitimate predators.
Bruce was funnily enough the only one not in the absolute bottom of his category since other variety slots included tectone who hit probably 2 shots the entire tournament, whereas bruce actually plays the game. But the variety slot matters the absolute least since no one expects them to be good anyway.

Shibuya Hal is considered the best VTuber Apex player and even he couldn't compete in ALGS lobbies. Selen is several tiers below Hal.
Selen belong where Bobon, Kuzuha, Kanae, and Chihiro are: very good diamond players but nothing to write home about in competitive play.

I wouldn't be at all surprised about that, though. Gura is high level music game autist in the vtuber world, but I feel like she's low top tier at best overall. I'm a longtime IIDX player and she's way better than me at Muse Dash but I could see myself getting on her level if I cared to on PC. Muse Dash isn't as stupid as the usual Konami otoge autism. She might not look so good on that stage.

...so, not to say that Selen is god or Gura is shit, but vtubers are a pretty specific talent pool, and they probably aren't gonna be top tier overall, so this isn't super surprising. A and B are very close and could change easily depending on recent tournament results. You can make a case for all of Big Star + Kanae in A tier but they would still be a little worse than the others in that tier.
Ibrahim and Ratna Petit are better than the rest of C but I'm not putting them in the same tier as KCK. +Uge has been top diamond + Master for a long time. One tournament does not make Ibrahim better.
