Actually, that might be worse depending on how you use Twitter. The muted word method only blocks retweets on your own wall, but you can still see them on their profile. I'm assuming that this will block the retweets on their profile.
I use Tweets and Replies to see only their posts if I only care for those.
Oh, never mind, it is only for your timeline, neat.
This will be even better because there's very few people I actually do care about in regards to seeing retweets.

I never cared to resize the timeline to fit the extra space because more effort than it was worth, and I have my SNS window fairly small in the width direction anyway. You can delete the primaryColumn section if you are happy where it is.
