Ina is my second favourite vtuber and probably my favourite collab partner for Kiara although JP provides some competition.

I honestly think Mori and Kiara's relationship was closer and warmer when they were still doing keyfabe in Japan. Keyfabe sounded like a joke and they seemed to have a lot of fun with each other. I think Kiara only started to get insecure about the keyfabe after moving out of Japan. Really? I much prefer it the way it currently is, sure it may not as good as the (few) real highpoints we got during the Takamori phase, but on the other hand it's also at least not as bad as the worst of the Takamori phase, and the latter was far more prevalent as they too often just fell into their odious half-baked shtick of Kiara being too clingy/desperate "Calli my wiiiifeeeee!!!" and Mori being to grumpy/bitchy with her "ugh shut up kusotori!!!" retort. That got old really quick after the first few repeats and never developed much beyond that as they were both not good enough actors to make whatever it was they had planned for this work for long enough, couple that with internal complications (not getting into the debate if Kiara also had "real feelings", but whatever Mori's at times overly abrasive/uncaring attitude didn't make things easier for her) and external annoyances (shipperschizos tying them down together), and it's certainly much better overall that they retired this act.

I enjoy their current interactions much more overall, for example Kiara's recent call-in during Jump King was super nice and chill. They had an actual relaxed conversation that flowed naturally between two actual people instead of being a cringy play act between two characters, and we even learned something new as Mori opened up about her real life past (ballet), and it didn't leave a sour taste in anyones mouth after it like so many failed Takamori collabs. It didn't feel arkward at all (certainly much less arkward than during the times they tried to play a "ship"), the only "arkwardness" there would be if you were still hung up on the old Takamori dynamic and wondered "but why don't they fliiiiiirt anymooore??"

The worst of Takamori for me was after Kiara left Japan. Shadowverse collab and It Takes Two. Meanwhile, while she was there we got incredible fun streams like the fake sleepover, a way out, papers please, shrek watchalong, trip memories, etc. Sure they can chill now, but streams are not as fun as they were before and that counts a lot more to me. Kiara in general has some good fundamentals for a more or less untrained amateur (I say this as I don't assume she ever got any prolonged serious singing lessons, or at most just a slapdash bootcamp during her idol days). With some actual professional training she could be quite polished and grow over her remaining bad habits (not getting into the whole "chicken voice" debate, just saying that even if you want to stick with a character voice, a trainer can help you make it work better), unfortunately voice training is another one of those "ugh... but that takes effort and discipliiiine..." commitments, like fitness, that makes it more unlikely that a talent seeks it out (and more importantly, sticks with it), unless they are especially driven (or company-ordered), so I'm not really expecting it anyway.

Ok that's pretty much a nothingburger then. And it's not like HoloEN hasn't also similarly expressed some ridicule/dissatisfaction with their cringy promo lines before, on stream no less, so I can pretty much assume that's something that every corpo-tuber thinks sometimes about mandated projects and it's almost a rite of passage that you'll have to do some shit you find cringy. Not the end of the world.

As for the general issue of why no HoloEN-NijiEN collabs, I still think the simplest explanation is the most likely one, and the dominant theory that makes the most sense from all observed behavior is still that it's on the HoloEN upper management side that's blocking it, from a cynical business perspective. They have nothing to gain from it (no new viewers for Holo, as pretty much every NijiEN viewer already knows them) and as the market leader only something to lose (the Holo-normie mass audience is much more in a bubble, where many of them don't even yet know other vtubers like NijiEN etc exist, so you would only unnecessarily exposing your audience to your direct competitor for free).
I'm not saying that this is good or even the right way to do it, but for the bosses who actually make that decision, it at least makes sense from a cold cynical business perspective. Let's see how long they can keep up their pretense that NijiEN doesn't exist, and whether that's solved by either NijiEN growing so big that you can't afford to ignore them anymore, or individual talents going rogue and breaking the dam with enough interactions anyway

My most reasonable guess is that they don't view them so much as their direct competitor like NijiEN, in the formers case because Voms is a relative minnow, in the latter because Vshojo is working on a different "turf" so they also don't feel as much of a threat in the eyes on the decisionmakers.
Again, I'm not saying this explanation is perfect or can't be debated, only that out of all possibilities, it's just the one that makes the most sense, as for example the alternative theory that it is instead NijiEN management that is blocking the Holo collabs would make even less logical sense - why would they do that? what would the reasons on their side be? For the Holo side, we can at least make the cynical business case, but for Niji it's literally the opposite, they'd have little to lose and much to gain (access to the much larger Holo audience, new eyes on their own talents, little risk of viewer migration as every NijiEN fan already knows Holo, but not every Holo fan knows Niji, etc.)
