Reminder that youtube has dropped the ball completely, and that your oshii WILL be streaming on twitch by the end of the year
Don't forget to use your prime sub on Miko's channel :^)

this.

Ustream was fucking dumb and killed itself because they didn't believe gaming was going to be popular enough to support. Twitch (formerly Justin.tv) was able to capitalize on livestreaming specifically for video games. Youtube is only getting on it because they're trying to expend into it, but even now their attempts at successfully promoting live streamers are shit.

fuck Mixer and the cashgrab that was. doomed to fail from the start, lmao, go fuck yourself Microsoft. but there's really no competition between Youtube and Twitch anymore, so both and get by with the bare minimum of useablility without any incentive to improve.

Twitch does this thing where they tell you that one of your videos violates DMCA but they don't tell you which one so you have to delete literally all of your VODs to get rid of the infringing content. They also automatically delete VODs after 60 days. The only people that have VODs for more than 60 days are very old Twitch partners that are grandfathered under a different contract.

>> No.1637345

Well, if they move to twitch, they can't do archived karaoke streams anymore. You'd have to be there live or hope someone recorded it because it'll get muted instantly once the stream ends. This does happen to some extent on Youtube. Pavolia Reine had to mute 1 song in her 300k karaoke stream. There was that one music game that Gura played where it had to be privated because of a music permission issue that needed to be resolved. Also, I think I'm the only one that has noticed but some of the Hololive ID girls videos have been updated or I can assume to be because they appear in the latest sub even though they have a longer last streamed time than the previous video. Both platforms suck but music companies are just as bad. Unless they make their own platform and evenly enforce copyright laws, they're stuck working with either shitty corporation and their whimsical control of algorithm and rules.

You motherfuckers have no clue what you're talking about.
Beam.pro was one of the best things ever thanks to OBS fork, because it was the very first streaming platform that allowed for you to stream with sub 1second latency, if any at all.
"Doomed" my ass, that was its biggest draw for a while. And compared to Twitch, microshit servers allowed anyone with decent connection to stream like that, instead of doing the bullshit "flexible" bandwith that would shaft your stream delay based on whether some POGGERS EPIC STREAMER is currently online with 10-20k viewers hogging all the servers.

Ha ha, yeah. Imagine if Twitch had a feature available to all affiliates and partners that lets them have their stream promoted on the site. Imagine if it was also completely free and only cost channel points that anybody can earn just by watching your stream, and imagine if the point cost was also scaled to the size of your channel so that even smaller channels could promote themselves instead of relying on your platform to only promote their favorites.
That'd be ridiculous.
