How would you guys feel if someone made art of you and another random vtuber together? A vtuber you never mentioned before. Would this make you uncomfortable?

They are both big vtubers so my art might not even be seen, but I don't want them to hate it, if they see it or something.

Something like Kongou and Mel violently fucking would be kind of bad. You run the risk of people thinking one or the other commed it, which can make that person look like a sex-pest (more a problem for the male).

I don't really see the appeal, but I like that it's basically an excuse to have a special event stream, assuming you've been streaming for a while already. if it's your first stream, no one knows who you are yet, so it seems a bit presumptuous, but it's your stream so you can do whatever you want.

yea, I mostly go off posts here or recommendations on twitter, but I mostly look out for someone who looks like they're trying to do something different. I get excited when I check out a stream and they're trying something new/creative, even if it's not working out quite right at the time, it usually is a good sign for content to come, and insures that I'll check them out later

i'm not sure... comeback streams? big milestone celebrations with fun stream rosters? pretty much any event stream that looks like it's had a lot of planning put into it, they're almost always great

Lion king, jungle book, and my favorite, Aladdin. these games were genuinely good and it ruined my game purchasing record for the rest of my childhood because I thought that games made after movies could be good... these were probably the only ones, unfortunately.

1. I think debuts are unnecessary for indies and it feels too much like they're trying to chase Hololive. If they want to do that little presentation and explain themselves it's fine, but I don't think everyone should do them.
2. No, I'm fine being introduced to new ones but I already watch too many and feel bad having to choose between people. I am most excited to see that they're a charming person who has a compatible sense of humor or taste in things as me.
3. Anniversaries or chuubas going out of their comfort zone, like Moriko doing her karaoke stream.
4. Paper Mario 64 and TTYD are some of my favorite games ever. I'm really happy to see a bunch of people coming around and streaming it since Nintendo put it back up.

Hm. This is a good question. This is sort of hard to answer because any art is always going to be impressive. I still freak out towards any art at all because of them taking the time for it. Maybe 4komas would be cool? I wish I was a bit better at understanding simplification and punchlines so I could make little 2/3/4komas of various in-character situations.

Pokemon Crystal was a game I owned as a younger egg but it had a faulty battery so I could never beat it since doing so would require beating it in one sitting, I kept trying over and over to beat it but being young I didn't have the strats. I think that event is what got me interested in speedruns and now I feel like I owe it to my younger self to attempt a Crystal speedrun one of these days and actually beat Red in one go.

A question for you. what advice would you give to any chuuba planning on going on hiatus, not that I'm thinking about taking one myself but just in case I do need to it's always good to have some info.

I think debuts are fun, but I also just like an excuse to throw a party. Parties and planning are something I never get to do in meatspace, but in the virtual world it is a lot of fun, even when I stress myself out.

Either new to them (even if they are devastatingly bad, since you can see them get more competent as they play and learn and that triggers something in my heart) or games they are extremely familiar with.

Backlogging is not a term I am familiar with and it honestly seems kind of silly since everyone is a backlogger unless they are replaying games, and I do not watch streamers to see them comfortably play a game they are too familiar with unless they have a very good amount of knowledge like Corpse. I watch a lot of facecamers who literally only play a single game but they are so knowledgeable that they teach you about that game as they go and it makes watching very exciting, like their deep knowledge of interesting mechanics you may not know.

I avoid any streams that are recently released games because of spoilers, so those automatically filter me...

debuts are largely a stale tradition, i have been to many of them but only a handful of them were really worth being around for
for the classic debut you have to be invested in the person before it happens, which is difficult to do without content
if i ever do a 'debut' it's not going to be a classic one, that much is certain

far too many to count, we never had updated systems, usually 2 generations back, but i spent nearly all of my money as a kid on used games
the first game i ever bought new with money from working was Age of Empires: Rise of Rome gold edition, I remember being so enthralled with it I wouldn't talk to the policemen going through my house haha but thats a whole different story
there are some games I still adore to pieces, tetris attack, mario kart (snes), yoshis island, and of course all the pre-2000 kirby games
lego rock raiders and iron assault were great fun even if I never got near finishing them, but I also had the good fortune of playing a lot of point and click adventure games which would end up at our auction from large liquidation sales, some of them were on floppy discs
i got to play a lot of non-age appropriate games just diving through these bins, like doom, but i'd always get in trouble for trying to play it or mortal kombat 3

the nightmare i had before waking up this time was about my upcoming celebration party. for some reason it was irl ratherbthan a stream but that's fine.
but first it started with everything going wrong, all my plans kept messing up and nothing worked.
but it had to do the stupid thing not brain always does and turns violent. some people came and destroyed all of my equipment and killed my cats really explicitly and gruesome and then i was being chased down by them after. i usually have a stress dream or two about big stream events, but this one has been the worst so far

for youtube i use OBS's window capture to directly record a stream so i don't have to wait for it to end then put it in a youtube downloader site and wait a thousand years, you'll need two monitors if you want to do something else though. other than that get adobe premiere pro or anything like it from the seven seas and play with it, clipping is very easy, you just section the unwanted parts of the video and you're done,

for premiere pro you can add subtitles by going to Title in the upper window then Default Still, pick and choose font and size, write the text and close the window, the subtitle is gonna appear in Project window in the lower left corner. ganbatte anon, clipping and editing are one of the most honest jobs a viewer could have

If the hiatus is for your health? Do not do anything, just focus on being better. I beat myself up a lot during my hiatus because I wanted to accomplish things when I could barely stay away for longer than 5 hours and all it did was make me extremely depressed and want to graduate in addition to the constant pain I was feeling. Try to change your schedule around to be as helpful to yourself as possible while you are taking care of yourself.

If it is from too much vtubing or maybe being busy in real life, then make sure you try to organize your workflow and focus on what reasons you needed a break and how to address them. Try to let yourself relax but do not lose sight of your goals. If you need more time to create assets, it is a good time to do that. Same with models. And I think it is very important to find people you trust (chuubas or viewers, I talked with a mixture of both) and ask them for advice on what you can do to improve or things you can change to make things easier.

Those sort of helped me, but I have to admit my hiatus was 90% for the former and only 10% the latter, so I did nothing except try to rest and get extremely depressed.

Quick menhera Monday, feeling super frustrated right now. After last night's large audio delay fiasco, I just redid all my audio configuration, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, unplugged and set everything back up...and ended up back at my original settings of a -100ms delay for my mic in OBS. Which is what I've had my settings at for a while, with no issues, except for last night for some reason. I just made this test recording in OBS, with VSeeFace running and everything, and the sync is totally fine at -100ms. I don't know what to do but I'm now paranoid that every time I go to sing on stream it'll get fucked up somehow. I guess I could open a window of my stream live and try to monitor, but that offset would be extremely jarring to have in one of my ears.

Anyone who knows more that me about streaming and audio have any idea why things could've gotten so out of sync last night despite me not having touched my settings at all? Really want to avoid this happening again in the future because it's embarrassing, and I probably will only include the non-singing parts of last night's VOD if I upload it at all.

Starting HL Alyx part 2 now. Last time I had the resolution cranked way too high. Now it's so much smoother. I've been loving this game so far.
