I wonder how current big streamers on Twitch would feel if Cover migrated their talent over. They certainly get a different type of fanbase than people who watch streams on YT, but I also never hear about vtubers on Twitch at all. Seeing Miko getting 13k+ viewers on her Twitch stream today actually shocked me when all she was playing was Minecraft. Do you think they could just overthrow the current Twitch meta that way?

Twitch is as bad as Youtube, though the most likely for big vtubers to branch off to (Miko already, Kizuna AI will be using it for an upcoming event)
Nico Nico is as bad as Youtube
Facebook Live is Facebook so likely no better than Youtube or Twitch
bilibili has a worse VOD system than Twitch and isn't user friendly; also hololive is obv never coming back there
7.Live idk how to even find VODs, maybe I'm just bad at using it
Weibo is Chinese and also not user friendly; it's just worse bilibili
Mirratv is awful, there's no VOD system whatsoever from what I can tell
Openrec every vtuber left years ago and VODs expire like Twitch
Showroom's VOD system is better than Mirratv but worse than Twitch and bilibili
Mildom is also not great VOD wise, I think it only lets you play the most recent stream afaik
Any other alternatives are irrelevant in the vtuber scene and would be way less viewership and profit, even some of these would lead to that.
Twitch, love it, hate it, or love it and hate it, is probably the best alternative, and works well using alongside Youtube. Best as in it can give high levels of viewership and profits similar to Youtube, and it's user friendly enough that it's easy for both Japanese and English audiences to use it (for example, I watch a popular Korean vtuber on Twitch that hasn't have a single EOP in chat whenever I've watched her). Overall Youtube still seems like it will stay the place everyone goes to to target multiple demographics and get a lot of reach, especially due to the advantage of VOD storage, stream clips and original videos that Twitch is inferior in regards to. So will it replace Youtube? No way in hell, but it may become something more big JP VTubers stream on as an alternative to YT (which they'll still use). A lot of the more successful Twitch vtubers also have YT channels so I don't think it's a one or the other thing.
