ASMR is actually a good example of this. Some of it comes from Gura herself not really knowing what to do with it or wanting to do something about it. Even though every comment and chat message about it that I could see was positive. I think with ASMR a big part of it is her herself not wanting to do more, seeing as she's always had people praising her about it. She always gets questions about it at least twice a month and she knows how much people want it, so she feels obligated to do more to appease her fanbase.

If you look at the timeline of Gura's comments on ASMR it's obvious. First it was that she'd do another one eventually but needed better sound-proofing first, then it was at some point after she did her edited video stuff she wanted to do (lol), and then suddenly the next time it got brought up she mentioned feeling awkward about doing ASMR despite never saying that before. Then she got pressured due to SCs and came up with more reasons like not being good at it or being worried about saying something or making mouth sounds she'd regret (and not being able to do pre-recorded to avoid this due to imaginary objections). Finally she started saying that she'd go ahead with doing it in 2022 despite reservations. Seems like she doesn't want to but between pressure from fans and the need for viable content to stream she feels compelled to do it again.
