You can really see this in the west. Like all of the top streamers are male with even infamous thots not ranking as highly. This is because people are cautious about giving freely to female streamers. They have that mindset that women are the ones who earn the most money just sitting in front of a camera. Meanwhile, the male streamers are robbing them blind.

Let's be fair some male (and female) streamers are pretty clear cut that they don't give a fuck about you. Vtubers in particular just appeal to a... specific demographic, for the most part, so you'll se it less.
There's that one famous clip from a guy who got a donation with a message that he was going through a tough time cuz X or Y, and then the streamer got up, went to his door, opened it, looked outside, came back, and said "Damn I can't find who fucking asked".
