No, they shouldn't work hard to improve their numbers or streams.
They SHOULD work had because they
1. actually enjoy doing their job
2. feel like they owe their fanbase for the love and (financial) support they give
3. feel like they owe the company their 100% for picking them among thousands of other applicants

If you can't find a single one of these reasons for yourself you are not only a terrible person and incredibly arrogant, you are also ruining the atmosphere within Hololive by sticking out like a sore thumb with your lazy, uncaring attitude.

Mori literally applied as a joke and didn't even like idols, Gura is depressed and Ina is both rich and lazy. Yet all of these still managed to put in the hours and generally show up when it matters. They don't constantly take random week long breaks for no fucking reason.

I don't understand how it's hard to stream if you're a vtuber who's actually competent at games. She was decent at Celeste so she has serviceable enough gaming skills. Is it so hard to play 2 hours a day/10 hours a week and acknowledge chat every 2 or 3 minutes or so? And this is assuming that the art streams are too taxing
