The other is an original song by a newer vtuber with less notoriety that's a standalone performance unrelated to anything larger.

Couple that with Irys' lack of 3D (not that the mv is bad, but it's not an idol concert performance), and you have a song that people aren't going to pay much attention to because they don't realize it pops.

Irys' song actually gives me /mlp/ era feels. You know, back when the autistic fad was less drama prone, more positive/wholesome, and the musical numbers were upbeat/optimistic. Feels nice. I listened to it a few times.

She is a pretty good / amazing singer, well, under VTubers / VSinger standards. However, numbers don't always reflect your skills, especially when you are good, but not god-gift level of good. IRyS still need to gather more fans. Mori doesn't have this problem because she picked her own staffs, who are generally her acquaintances and are more attuned to Western musics.
On the other hand, IRyS has much fewer options, if any at all. If she didn't even have permission to sing her own songs during karaoke streams early on, she isn't going to get to pick her staff anytime soon (not yet, at least). So basically, Cover is the one who pick her composers and lyricsts. It's pretty understandable that they have more connections with JP ones, although it might be to IRyS' songs' disadvantages

Other issues like her whole lore, song translations, chuuni vocab, mismatch between English vocals and Japanese audio production aren't doing her any favors and her avatar is outright atrocious. Huge disappointment vs her past persona which had incredibly cute design and arguably better rigging.
