I think part of it was as a form of challenge for her as it feels rewarding to overcome difficult challenges.
In a way this is similar to running in a marathon and getting encouragement for it through the chat.

But it's true that a part of me wonders if this would be the reason why she mainly does singing streams while she initially tried different things when she started her channel.
I didn't think it was possible for a vtuber to do this many singing streams in a week when I mainly followed Hololive and vtubers of the previous generation.
But there are more vtubers who focus more on singing now.

I think this is the same for most of us here, but I really like singing streams of vtubers I like with a positive mindset.
It's healing and improving my days and motivation.
vtubers may give something close to the girlfriend experience, but I don't think we could get the equivalent of these singing streams in real life.

Some vtubers are more self conscious and embarrassed about their singing streams which feels a bit more intimate to them than gaming streams.
Maybe that's the reason for the attempt to make it look as if it's not serious to reduce the pressure.

It does not seem to work always.
I remember Miko doing less singing streams as her channel grew older because of this issue.
Compared to a gaming stream or zatsudan singing is probably more physically demanding.

I think there is a matter of preference too.
When I see a channel with mostly gaming streams I don't expect to get many singing streams because the audience got used to it and mainly expects gaming streams.
Changing your content can have a strong effect on a channel.

She does have some, like Forever Raining, but AZKi’s albums have always been a compilation of different composers, so she’s got a bunch of different sounds. As to why they’re coming out of nayuta instead, I think it relates to the fact that the frog has an ‘image’ for her that they try to present unlike most Holos who have much more creative freedom.

Certainly nothing conclusive, but you can get a feel from it with how involved the frog is, from writing his opinions in the liner notes for her songs to being involved in a bunch of interviews about the Re:Creating World. Remember that unlike a Holo, who applies to a slot in a gen, the AZKi project scouted her as the ‘voice of AZKi’ which was outside Cover and upd8 before being brought into INNK. She’s also mentioned about how her newest costume was the first she got to have input on, and upd8 had a history of over management as well as IRyS revealing how little control she has under the vsinger contract. I don’t think she’s unhappy under Cover, mind you, just doesn’t have the same freedom to release whatever she wants as AZKi.

AZKi is a company owned project.
Nayuta should be her own channel where she has complete freedom to do what she wants and does not have middle men to take away the control and profits.
As a creator having the option to do what you want with no one micro managing you behind your back is the best setup for creative freedom.

Not sure why upd8 is even being mentioned in regards to anything about the AZKi project. She debuted as a Cover talent Nov 2019, so any contractual duties were set up then. She joined upd8 in Feb 2019, but upd8 was just a support platform for any VTuber to sign up for; they didn't manage talents that were outside Activ8. INNK was created by Cover in May 2019 because of Suisei. Pretty much any blame about the original vision of AZKi is all on the frog.
