When you start off as a streamer, build your fanbase as a streamer of games and shit, but then hard pivot so that more and more of your time is spent doing idoltshit, it's bad.
When you START on the idol route and state as such, clearly, and actually do it from the start like Suisei, its not an issue since the expectation always is that you'd prioritize idolshit first and foremost like songs and dance reps, and stream when you can.
It's basically trying to switch classes mid campaign vs starting as the intended class. There's bound to be issues that pop up.

The answer is likely due to how YT determines if a person is watching a stream live. I remember one anon mentioning that adblock prevents a specific 'ping' from YT, which is likely what YT uses to determine if they should serve you an ad and/or if you are live. If the ping is used for both, then it explains why adblock now results in you not counting for live viewers.
This ping is also likely not going off if you don't have the tab 'up' as the main tab and have it running in the background, as a browser may reduce what's being processed in the tab to save resources. This is evident when you tab back into a YT tab of a livestream, how it sometimes hangs for a second as it reprioritizes the tab and brings up the resources required for it being the main view vs just a tab.
