Alright boys, got some poll numbers for you from the most recent NijiEN thread about the general opinions on the Male wave.
I suspect the first poll may have been a bit of a troll, but both polls give us a general idea of the Male Wave's reception.

Those are two very different types of games. Warframe is basically a run-and-gun lobby shooter, a type of game that seems to be the bane of all Holos because many don't seem to have the skill to carry such games or suffer from debuffs such as motion sickness or prone to getting lost. FFXIV on the other hand is an MMO that will basically require them to have groups of 4-8 that are willing to stick to a role to play through (or spend hundreds of dollars unlocking certain jobs if they wish to have variety in their play style).

I honestly would love to see if they can pull off playing both.

I know that Friday is connected to itself. I am pointing out that this chart is missing context. Friday is the opener for the weekend schedule for Hololive. Pekora and other top holos switch to afternoon streaming on Saturday and Sunday. Sundays would be higher overall if we still had Meme Review, but major collab events are held on that time slot still because that's weekly peak hours for Hololive in general (daytime weekend for JP + NA prime time).

That's not really a marker for Friday being a debuff; it's just that their priorities for the weekend are different. Wednesday seems to be a much worse day in your chart since it had long periods of stagnation while the others are constantly shifting... and let's not even get into Thursday...

Obviously that second point is the one important to our discussion here in relation to NijiEN. When NijiEN debuted with only females they were simply trying to move in on HoloEN's territory but it was a territory that was already claimed and, as I mentioned before, they could really only grab the contrarians when it comes to viewership. Their viewership being mainly made up of contrarians is also why they are so fucking insufferable and annoying, but that is besides the point.

However, with the males they are creating a market much like HoloEN did when they launched the EN branch. Just based on this alone, unless they massively dropped the ball on point #1 (strong and diverse talents) it is of my opinion that they are 100% guaranteed to do better than the NijiEN females.
