The models aren't that high end as far as rigging and accessories are concerned, even if some have 1 expensive accessory, like the birds and mask expressions.
Cover probably pays top dollar to artists and riggers but even then, they're all probably way less than 10k$. Max 50k$.
Add to that the 1 iphone Xyz they each get, hiring and paying for managers and some level of training leading up to their debut and other extra expenses would mean they spent... i don't know how much.
If it's a mid level job for Japan tho, then that's 2-4k$ per month including all the taxes they pay to the government, but probably way less than 159k$.

Just for perspective based on cdjapan rankings and sales data for some albums release around the same time Suisei alone sold at absolutely minimum 11k plushies at around 35 bucks each. So just suisei sold around 400k worth of merch. And she was one of 30+ Coco, Pekora, Marine, Korone all sold well too.
