My switch controller regularly drops when no matter how close I am to the console. PS4 controller drops occasionally too when I'm using it for PC and so has every other wired controller I have tried. Got some wireless keyboard and it sucks ass.

PS5 controller has been good so far though, but still no interest in using wireless for PC.

Bluetooth wireless is trash if thats what you were using. If it was 2.4g, then living in a place with alot of 2.4g signals in close proximity can mess with your peripheral. also if you are using things past the recommened ranges from the reciever. But i can tell you that the responsiveness is identical to wired mice these days, atleast from companies like logitech and razor.

My house at the time would have had like no wireless signals going around causing interference. The lag is negligible for either, it's higher iirc for switch controllers when they are literally connected to the console in handheld mode than it is if they are using wireless, but never playing something like Tetris again wireless because the drop outs make it unplayable.

Every time I have had someone tell me their controllers never drop out and I go around to their place to play, I experience the controllers dropping out. I just do not value anyone else's opinions on this anymore, people defend trash technology all the time simply because their standards are abysmal.
