Adding together Ame's VOD times for DK Tropical Freeze comes to about 7 hours in total. That's even counting the time chatting, reading any SCs, pre-stream setup times as actual gameplay hours. According to the internet it takes about 11 hours to complete just the main story. So Ame has an absolute minimum of 4 hours to go, assuming she skips all the extras and collectables from now on (and again, assuming the 7 hour VOD time = times playing the game. Which it isn't).
So it's safe to say that unless she plans to speedrun the thing and then go directly from finishing the game, straight into to streaming the watchalong, she won't be making the Watchalong on time.

For instance, I really can't pay attention to any of the shooter games she plays because I'm not that into shooters, so I wouldn't be able to tell if she's doing well or not. Minecraft is also good for this, especially when she's either just traveling through the overworld or just working on stuff.

It's the idea of being proud of someone for their accomplishments and wanting to see them succeed. That's usually what a parent would do for their kid I guess.
The thing is, you can also do that with any kind of person. You can be proud of a friend, you can be proud of a partner, of anyone you look up to and just want to see thrive.
So I guess it's like, if you see Ame as a daughter then you don't really see her as someone you're into romantically or a love interest but rather just an entertainer you support and that's it.

Listening to a bunch of brits mumble together sentences improved my listening so much that I have no issue with Bae or Sana. How I wish she would just say certain words a little slower and clearer, then it would make it much easier for them.
