Actually most of new gen subs come from existing holo viewers, it's just basic shift of mass, every new generation will get initial boost made by previous members. Of course half of those subs will be dead(viewers that subed but not watching), holoEN had huge boost due to covid when people stuck in homes, but without it westerny vtuber community is actually not that big so second gen just got subs from first due to shift form first and due to yt algorithms but because second gen is lazy as fuck they can't use all those numbers to bring more fresh subs, they think that being just in hololive make them popular but they not realizing that they are generation that need to work their asses to be on top or they just stagnate as they do now as first gen numbers where really pure luck and coincidence.
