There are different levels of depression, not all depression is suicidal. I was on depression meds months and could have killed myself with the myriad of firearms around me. I chose not to because I had stuff to hold on to. People around me, keeping me going. It's different for everyone. Depression isn't cut-and-dry as people make it, no mental illness is. No two brains are alike after all.
