a good model isn't the only factor for popularity but I'm just upset that cover corp claims to be a "cutting edge 2D entertainment company" and a good percentage of their live2D looks like garbage. A competent company would probably want to make sure they look as professional as possible and would make sure the faces of their company, the vtubers themselves, would be at the highest quality image wise. Why wasn't that their first priority after their brand became globally popular and the superchat money was coming in by the truckloads? Who asked for a fucking hololive game? that could have came later and I'm positive the fans would never be disappointed if they waited longer to announce their upcoming game cause that's something people aren't really expecting out of vtuber shit, so that could have been on hold until they fixed all their vtuber models. I just find it hilarious that a few indies got perfect rigging and eye + mouth tracking that makes hololive look like shit. I would have done things this way if I was in Yagoo's position.
