No and no, I just started with hololive and it's tiring and kinda pointless trying to find other chuubas when I'm already pretty comfy where I am, I also don't even have the time to be watching more than a couple of chuubas at a time since college is currently kicking my ass. I appreciate the work that other chuubas do though but they're simply not for me.

I exclusively watch hololive because I only really watch gura and her friends on occasion. Ina and Ame stream at good evening times for me and they interact with Gura.
Maybe I'll catch Marine's Karaoke / Calli streams during the day. But since my oshi only really works inside the bubble, I only feel the need to go as far as the edge of the bubble.
I do like pikamee, though I find multilingual streams to be infuriating to listen to. Same reason I don't watch chicken. The poppy's playtime stream was good when i watched the VOD, I even put off watching a Speezy vid so I could watch the stream blind.

Hololive is what got me into vtubing. My oshi is in Hololive, and I do like the girls in Hololive in general. Some I like more, some I like less, some I dislike. Beyond that, nothing I've watched outside of Hololive has managed to keep my interest like Hololive does. That's about it really.

The reality is that Hololive hasn't fucked up hard enough to leave an opening for another company that presents itself in a similar fashion. Until then, NijiEN and small-time companies will have to settle for fighting amongst each other for scraps.

I just feel no inclination to watch other agencies, they might be interesting, they might not, I really have no idea. I don't get recommended clips of them and I don't bother looking them up. Watching 2views is uncomfortable because lower numbers of live viewers makes me feel obligated to interact in chat and I'm too menhera to do that.

Clips are what initially got me into watching vtubers, and hololive just won the race there. If the algorithm had been different at the time, I might have been a nijinigger or hooked into some other agency instead of a becoming a holobrony.

I watch whoever is streaming something that I'm interested in at that moment. Indie or corpo, it doesnt matter. Being loyal to any of those companies is retarded.

I watch Hololive because it was the first group I ever watched (starting with Miko's nigga clip). I've spent so much time, money, and energy watching and supporting these girls and getting to know how they interact with each other that it's such a daunting task to me to have to start that all over with another group, especially Nijisanji, which seems to have quadruple the amount of members. I truly enjoy Hololive for the content, not because I feel it's superior to other groups. In another timeline, I very well may have ended up being an exclusive Nijisanji or Vshojo viewer.

I dont even know what content superiority means, all i can really say is that, i started out as a casual Vtuber watcher, i started watching Nijisanji, by early 2020, i think Roa and chi-chan's dog, was the first Vtuber that i watched, i knew about Kizuna but i never watched her. i swear, i was there prior to Hololive's JP4 debut, unbeknownst what's happening, i thought all of Vtubers were independent. Ultimately, it couldn't drag me down, because i thought they were Kizuna Ai copycats, but then on one, boring, hot, very hot noon, i just said, fuck it and gave Pekora a try. Well, Pekora was such a trip, she was trapping several Holomems on Minecraft, and i thought, i'd like to know more.

After that, time was passing really fast, i really enjoyed their interactions, specially Pekora, being some kind of a genius cartoonish Villain. Then comes Coco, that woman's very respectable, since she unified all the girls with Asacoco. Asacoco was very addicting. Ever since then, i watched them everyday.

The thing is, Hololive has hit with so much drama's that made me cheer for them and that they'll get through it, drama's after drama's and yet, they ultimatelt prevail through it, and be paid back with good karma's, and the feels that it gives, is quite enjoyable.

I enjoy them on their journey, i want to see them on mainstream. I want so see where they're headed to, from a no-name Company, drama's after drama's, to Japan's leading Vtubing group, and Internationally.

I want to see them to extend their reach. Their journey towards stardom, that's all i can say.

I like that theres a lot of people that can jump in and out for different collabs and stuff. I think vshojo is just way too horny for me. Im not interested enough to go looking for indies and the youtube algorithm wont do that for me.

i watch hololive because hololive already puts out more content than i can reasonably consume, so there's really no need to pay attention to much outside of hololive. There's several Hololive girls whose content I really enjoy, and other Hololive girls are way more likely to interact with them than randos.

Like yeah, I could check out Kuzuha and see what's going on, but I could also just check out the new HoloX girls and they're guaranteed to interact with the girls who I already like. I could go and see what Pomu is up to, but I might as well just check out Sana is doing instead.

Because I hate internet drama and they've been doing a splendid job at avoiding it. Play your fucking character, develop it and change it up when it gets boring, but stick to the fantasy. It's not that hard and yet most indies and smaller companies couldn't do it if their lives depended on it. They always have to stir up drama like regular online hoes.

I'm an unloyal clipfag who watches the occasional gura or sana stream if it looks interesting. otherwise I watch whatever youtube throws at me. I slowly became familiar with all of hololive's members little by little. Youtube tried to show me chuubas from other companies but only nyanners really appealed to me. hololive does have this overbearing 'winning side' aura to it which admittedly i like.

Hololive's ecosystem is too strong. I only watched Korone but since she went on break I would sometimes tune in to other streams like Okayu/Miko/Kanata just to hear how she's doing.
Sure I could watch Niji or NoriPro but it's not a good time investment when I could be watch other Holo instead.

Started with Hololive.
Saw a little bit of Niji as well initially but their numbers and somewhat elitist fanbase filtered me.
Now I have no time to watch others, and hololive has enough content.
They haven't given me a reason to stop watching them.
They have occasional fresh content, so things don't get too boring.
My listening reps have also improved a LOT in just a year.
So I'll keep watching.

What got you guys into Nijisanji? Was it just the first one you found (just like holofans)?
Pretty sure all Nijifans would have encountered Holo at some point as well, and so they would have had to make an active choice to watch Nijisanji.
What dictated such a choice? What is the better experience they provide for you (that holo doesn't)?

NijiEN, I'm a dirty EOP, I was already watching people outside Hololive before they came though. Indies and small companies. Myth, and specially Ame had periods of burn out where they streamed less, or the quality of the streams went down, so I was searching for people to fill dead hours,
The deciding factor for me to start watching NijiEN was my indie oshi getting in Lazulight. I spent some time watching both but I eventually liked the people on the other side more, I didn't like Council at all.
I only watch Ina occasionally now. I also enjoy everything Polka puts out

There's only so many hours in the day. I'm sure the other vtubers are amazing, but I can barely keep up with Hololive so why go elsewhere?
