the JP branch is already very well known in japan and as long as they don't speak a different language, the amount of new fans they'll attract is pretty insignificant, the debut had great numbers because both EOPs, JOPs and everything in between was watching.
the people who were watching are already fans of hololive so all they're really doing is thinning the numbers of other girls rather than increase the overall amount.
the girls in previous gens (0,1 and 2) have already very loyal and well established fanbases so there's no danger there, now whatever came after is the danger zone.
this isn't like the ENs where the pool of potential new fans is humongous.
overlapping is inevitable so instead of spending X amount of money on this chuuba, people will spend them on that chuuba.
after a couple of weeks they'll end up with zero translators and EOPs will start relying on clips as they always have while watching the ENs
