I mean, some like Subaru and Korone improved greatly but i can't say the same about the others (both of them btw are among the ones doing more streams hours, so it isn't an excuse).
And i have a similar opinion about the "recordings". I think they would release way more of whatever they're recording considering how much time they put into it.

These are the results of NND's poll they do at the end of every paid livestream, 1 is the best and 5 being the worst. It's extremely rare for 1 to be under 95% at a paid event, considering these votes come from the most loyal of paying customers. 92.2% is abysmal. 1 in 25 voted below mediocre, and more that 1 in 50 were disappointed or worse.
As comparison Beyond the stage slashed 97.6/1.3/0.5/0.2/0.5. So people are, noticeably discontent.

This. Only the most hardcore fans would pay this much for an event, so it’s normal that they would call it a masterpiece. To Pekora's credit though, she probably danced the most and had more movements compared to the rest. really puts into perspective how much the culture of consumption wins over effort. Not to downplay any of the 3rd gens long hours clock into streaming but the effort necessary to stream is significantly lesser than to improve at singing or dancing. That's really not an argument to be made there. Like, I love Marine as a person but she relies on meme fame alot. Hololive being hololive means that people who actually want to be idols get dragged down as a whole by other holos and management who don't see the point of the grind. It's "ok" atmost if we are following the description on what it's going to be. The main point of the live was they(cover/management) were trying something new, unlike the usual concert this one is more of a story type thing on it(which they hinted). It looked like the usual musical live shows. They did pretty well executing it. Problem here is, that was a concert, and I watched it expecting it more of a concert. Change the word "concert" to "show" and I would probably really enjoy it. They could have toned it down and it would be better too. The talents on the other hand did pretty well(can probably do better even) in both singing and dancing, probs are some songs I was expecting was not there and that they also seem restricted by the dance choreo given to them. The credits performance is pretty good for example in comparison, given it has good choreo. It's pretty underwhelming ngl. this thread had a general consensus that it was bad even before the suisei mention. Her live was used as a gauge of quality and there's literally nothing wrong with that. Both concerts cost the same price and one was abysmal. We can use Korone's one if you want, but that's not even a paid live and somehow has more energy than this.

I have a nagging feeling that gen3 make so much money, Cover cannot realistically compensate them enough just from the revenue of a single event. These girls make 5 digits an hour streaming. With that kind of hourly time spent in dance lessons or whatever has a non-negligible opportunity cost to it. It's natural these downtimes would want to be kept to a minimum, and the production quality this time around reflects this attitude.

Musicianfag here, not a suisei fan, in fact I dont think I've ever watched her stream but her clips singing put her at least top3 in hololive, she's better than Irys

Well they don’t feel the need to do that cause it’s not their main focus. I mean you can argue that they don’t care about their fan, I agree with that but at the end of the day, they only do this once so there’s no need for them to spend years training and exercising for it if you know what I mean

>> No.13559697

Maybe they should just pratice dancing and singing a lot and leave streaming on the backburner. Then they could just leech from someone like Suisei does to Miko to be relevant.

Oh I don't doubt her superiority within the agency, although idk much about Irys's abilities. It just feels off that she's topping national charts, and even moreso that some of her fanbase considers it deserved. She's not THAT levels of good.

anon here. look, we can argue all day about semantics or who had the final say but it boils down to whether anyone truly believe this was worth the ticket price as compared to literally any other hololive concerts. Even the free ones had chereo and lighting better than this. If you want to argue subjectivity and that it is good for you because murr oshi then that's fine and there's literally no point to keep going. But objectively this is bad and stinks of easy cash grab, whether the girls genuinely believe in that or not.

>> No.13559994

My oshi is Pekora and it feel like a missed opportunity to not have Pekorandombrain in the concert. Literally her only original and they would rather have her singing something else instead
I’m pretty sure other Holos have sing it more than her

Oh you dont need to be good to top in oricon. You just need to be trendy. A bunch of mediocre stuff has topped oricpn throughout the years but they were cool stuff you know? Like Yui Ogura or Ayana Taketatsu.
Irys is pretty legit, never bothered to look up roomate but she sounds young and inexperienced. She's got range and can sing anything. Suisei gets songs to a tee and has a perfect tone and style for anisong, if I were a betting man I'd wager she had dwhango training.

Yeah so... Holofag here. I don't actually care about concerts, I ain't paying to watch a bunch of anime girls dance or have dancers while they sing in the background and think everyone who pays for it is a massive faggot with way too much free time. For Rushia, instead of her weird flappy dance, I'd just have her do the same thing as power balad singers, stand there in front of the mic and make powerful, well timed hand gestures, it looks good, and you don't even need to move your legs.
