If you asked what they were thinking of vtubers in 2018-2019 despite having Hololive going full swimsuit 3D streams at the time, they would told you that they all are males and boring as fuck, Kizuna Ai number 1.
The big reason of why that is is simply lack of information and subbed clips making them think that is the "if it's something that I don't understand and that's not trying to talk to me then I prefer to not try to understand it and believe that it's shit by default" mindset.
It's 90% Hololive here because 90% of the vtuber clips who have eng subs are Hololive and those nowadays are short and made to have a quick laugh or talking about a common interest you could have with the vtuber.

So, looking at the catalog right now (ignoring the sticky):

Out of 149 threads 72 are obviously HL threads, so not quite even half (48.3%) and even among those some appear to be HL hate threads or are basically the same fucking thread multiple times (the "WHY IS HAACHAAMA BANNED" winfests and the "NEW RULES' threads). That means more than half of the site is not clearly HL stuff.

I defined "meta" as anything that isn't specifically designed to only cater to only one org. Thus, anybody could theoretically participate, even if the OP picture is a HL person that doesn't make it HL centric.

So while HL dominates vis a vis any other particular type or agency, it isn't 90% of the content on the board. If anything, there are a lot of meta threads that seem to be about really stupid topics, but that's not unusual for any 4chan board.
