One year I took him a giganigger bottle of this. If you want things that smell sweet as Pi does, all on the "pricier" side for designer stuff:

it HAS been reformulated. I have an original "Eau de Toilette Concentree" bottle. They relabeled it "Eau de Parfum" without reformulating it, and then actually reformulated it a few years ago. There's a "formula code" beneath the ingredient list on the back of the box, since it could say "EdP" but still be a pre-reformulation bottle. IL39-I is the original formula, IL22-I is the reformulation.

I haven't smelled the new one, but it might just be the usual "IFRA are being niggers and banned something new." If you don't have any real oud agarwood, don't buy anything else. Spend money on a good oud, it is the king of scents. Get a decanted sample from one of those bougie department stores like Nordstrom or buy a 5ml decant online. "Western" ouds aren't really oud, but you can get an idea for how agarwood smells with something like Tom Ford Oud Wood or Tobacco Oud if you're sharp enough to smell "past" the other stuff. If you want to really know what it smells like, you'd need some sand nigger perfume oil. Something from a French house will be a close second. Tom Ford's ouds aren't "oud", but they're good at what they do HAZMAT if sprayed more than once.

So good. This is the smell I think of when I think of "Eastern" fragrances. Musk is supposed to be the main note, oud in the background - but it doesn't smell animalic or "musky" at all - kind of sweet actually. At room temperature, it starts to solidify, which fucks with the "dabber" attached to the cap you'd normally use for this kind of oil. I kept a pack of sterile cotton swabs, think Q-Tips, next to it, no joke. Stir the corners vigorously, wooden end, not the cotton end, use it as a dabber instead. You could probably use a coffee stirrer or Q-Tip but I didn't want to risk something starting to grow in a bottle of expensive oil. You could also just warm it up, but that takes time.

If you want to try oud oil, IMO they're a better choice than ASAQ or another Arabian house. Both stores sell actual agarwood, often more expensive by weight than the fucking gold the rich Saudi housewives buying kg of that shit must've been using to pay for it. They have dozens of different tiers, different years and harvests of fucking oud, etc. "Mubakhar Cambodi" (Cambodian Smoked) was what I walked away with a tiny, expensive vial of. If I wear oud, I am wearing it for me. I don't think I've ever worn it out of the house. It's very strong, can smell almost fecal right when you put it on, but God damn does it smell amazing as the day wears on.
Do not bother with anything they sell in a bottle with a sprayer - they're mostly weird, cheap, strong or weak, knockoffs of popular Western perfumes. "La Yuqawam" = Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, "Daarej pour Homme" = Valentino V pour Homme, "Rasasi Pour Homme L'eau Verte" = Guerlain Homme speaking of, that's a nice one.
Their "Al Boruzz" line is nice for fancy, "not synthetic smelling", oud based unisex perfumes. Too expensive, not something you'd want to buy without smelling first either, but I liked "Al Boruzz Cambodia" a lot. They have a newer "Qasamat" line that seems to be the same general idea, but I haven't smelled it.

Anything "Dior Homme" - bitches like that lipstick smell...the others were "Edition Blanche", "Guerlain Vetiver", if you want a nigress hag instead of one your own age. Not joking, got it as a gift from a friend who knows I like my stanks, because it's a "classic". Maillady would've raped ~24 y/o me right there if we weren't outside in public. I put it back in the box, minus maybe a half dozen sprays, and gave it to my dad. But only after it'd been long enough that I'd presumably used it all up.
Lastly, "Lalique Encre Noir", which, true to its name, smells like someone spilled a bottle of fucking ink on you. I could barely smell the "ink" - it just smelled like pure, unadulterated 'Iso E Super' to me.
Speaking of which, if you do end up buying any perfume oils, a small SMALL spray of actual dilute Iso E Super ontop of a tiny dab of a perfume oil can be magical. You don't have to go hunting down perfumery ingredients - it's why I had the bottle of Encre Noire to begin with, it's something silly like 40% v/w Iso E Super.

Re: Duty Free. Those stores are unironically the best/easiest place to find discontinued or "pre-reformulation" bottles of fragrances.

3. Sometimes you can see the thick layer of dust on bottles at the back of the shelf that travellers have ignored. Know your audience. You aren't going to find an old bottle of Aventus on the shelves at DXB - popular scent with sandniggers + #1 airport on earth for duty free spending. Some airports like FRA are so fucking massive that they have more duty free stores than you can keep track of. Yes, I have used a ~4 hour layover to get my steps in while "milk maid"-ing every single bottle of a certain cologne in a gigantic fucking airport. Was simultaneously looking for a certain batch of Habanos, two birds, one stone, one giant hole in my wallet.
