They want it to be a big event and on their JP studio they have Xsens motion capture, which is the best motion capture setup around.
To do stuff together properly they need to be in the same place, because latency would fuck things up otherwise (see VRChat).
Basically they want EN to have a top tier debut that is on par with the JP ones, and for that they need to fly to japan. After they're back, they can use that model at home if they want to (they can do it with their simple VR + tracker setup)
