The thing about trying to kill an established icon is that being the "[x] killer" is more than being better at it in every way. It's getting people to give up on months of community and identity. In some way, she is a familiar presence, and that familiarity is comfortable - comfortable enough that they don't need or want to know anyone else.
The only real way her presence would end is if she screws up bad enough that the illusion is shattered. The masses watching her alone have to first find enough reason to say "fuck it, I'm done with her" before a new king emerges, and that reason must come from within her community.
