>dicking around youtube
>searching for vtubers + games i like
>lots of 2views show up
>both jp and en
>check some of them out
>many of them have graduated or hasn't uploaded in months
>many debuted late 2020 and early 2021
>check their last graduation streams
>views ranges from 300 to 1k views
>comment sections are full of people reminiscing and wishing that they met earlier
>tfw i realize that there's a lot of chuubas graduating every week or so with less than 2k subs and no monetization
>tfw even so they still have fun
it's a bittersweet feeling, why must indies suffer so much. How come corporate chuubas put emphasis on vTuber culture yet indies are graduating left and right since they're being overshadowed by everyone else?

It's a saturated market and none of the 2views have the tools to gain exposure and awareness among the potential audience.

You have to realize a lot of those indies are graduating because they received jobs at up and coming corporations and you'll be seeing them again soon enough.

Shoulda made themselves known here to find out if they had what it takes. This is one of the only spots to successfully viral in basically. Many just do not have what it takes however - some combinations of crappy voice, boring personalities, crappy mics, leaving dead air in streams etc - it is so easy for someone to just fail to engage it's scary.

Still though a lot of up and comings were just bandwagoner normalfags and twitch ethots ready and just rearing at the bit to run their mouths at the first people expecting them to be idol-like/uphold Holo type standards. Good fucking riddance, fakes without their heart in it who don't actually care for the culture should be filtered out. Wanna play ball and practice with the big-league Holo audience in trial by fire? We're game, extremely fickle but game.

>>why must indies suffer so much
I don't know but i think they deserve it
When they see the glory of the corpo, they think they can be as successful as them
so they held the mentality of child's play and stepped into this pit
but at the end they found that everything was not as they thought
No one knows about their debut, no one cares about their graduation
Fortunately, this is a virtual world. They born and ended like ants will not have any impact on the environment
which can also make a fortune with those who draw their clothes
This may be the value of their existence.

not everyone can be successful. For one to succeed, many more must fail. There is no success in a system where everyone wins.

The anime avatar is fucking with your head. You don’t care when a 2 view normal streamer stops streaming, what makes this any different?

for indie to succeed a lot of things should happen and lot of legwork should be done to even capitalize on those things, ascension to e-fame is pretty steep hill to climb, not many will make it, for better or worse.

Stop being melodramatic faggot. I had to talk one of my indies out of fucking an heroing and deal with another one who has daddy issues and fucking jumped off a building. If you're going to groom you can't come in with that attitude. Indies having it hard is expected.
