It takes a while for common sense to hit Mori but it always comes around. Just like when she understood that she needed to drop scythe-swinging, the harsh realization that she can't do it all finally smacked her upside the head.

Something I realized is that Mori probably doesn’t have too many Japanese friends. Whenever I listen or watch about people who move to Japan to teach, one of the things they mention is that it is really easy to not actually create a connection to the place you’re living due to the community of the English teachers making it so you really don’t have to learn Japanese. The specific person I’m referencing learned surprisingly fluent Japanese where he could speak at a conversational level cause he stepped outside of his box and made a real effort to get immersed and connected to the local community outside his school. Mori’s just okay Japanese despite her passion for the culture and living there tells me that she wasn’t really interacting with the community she was living in prior. Though if she’s in a city that’s a bit more understandable.

It's been so much coming at her in less than a year, mostly good things but she's still partly in the mindset she doesn't "deserve" them. Which hurts to see. What's impressive is she can so easily identify her own flaws or mistakes and say she is working on them, and among them is that kind of self-belittling attitude. If you actually zoom in, the "teeth" aren't black lines, it's grey. So instead of shifting the black and the grey to the darker pink (magenta?), I just did the black and recolored the grey to the lighter pink.

The third color also gave it some texture and kept it from being too flat.
