Bronies were overt, invasive, and weirdos about their hobby
holofags are, well they can be weirdos about it but usually not much more than any other weeb. but importantly, we holofags keep to ourselves in chuuba communities (or at most weeb communities) rather than trying to spread brony shit everywhere.

Even as someone who likes Hololive the term is sort of accurate, although it applies to all vtuber fans. Bronies were notorious for trying to talk about and spread "awareness" of their fandom and force other people to engage with it. A lot of vtuber fans behave the exact same way. Anything that gets sufficiently popular among a particularly autistic crowd is going to attract people like this, it's unavoidable.
