You misunderstand the point of contention with that collab to begin with. People weren't mad because Mori was collabing with a male during a game nobody cared about. As for a VTuber's appeal, I'm sure most anons would agree that Rosemi's appeal is that of a girlfriend surrogate. She isn't particularly good at games or funny. To be honest, this actually kind of make me more interested in Tsunderia again, only really followed Ria, Kana, Meru and Kallin, the first two left and the other two never really managed to hold my attention completely and the rest of the members never called my attention much, and with how inconsistent they tend to be with their schedules, my interest decreased massively, so seeing them actually go and get males on board, in a mixed gen at that, makes my interest in the group go up a lot again.

I don't think male additions matter. The biggest problem is either getting on the radar of people that don't even know what vtubers are or have it so people aren't welled up in the Hololive brand name. Even Niji EN might have a hard time making an impact with males even though they're a bigger EN branch than Tsunderia. It's just really difficult to get those eyes on you which aren't your current viewer base. I honestly don't see males the break through or utter failure, but probably will grow at a similar rate as any of the girls.

If EN was more open and intermingled as much as JP, even with the big companies, I could see it as being more succefuk since one company doesn't have a super majority of the audience glued to them and them alone. We'll see what happens within the month though.

This is one of those times where Tsunderia being very close to and overlapping a lot with the broader western indie community is going to help them out a lot. From what I can tell, there doesn't seem to be whole lot of overlap between the audience of those three. Maybe a bit between Tsunderia and Prism since they both lean into the music production angle harder than the others. As long as the debuts themselves are staggered across different days, I don't think it will be too big of an issue. All the companies seem to have a good working relationship with each other, so it's in their best interests to not piss each other off.
